They only called three times and ended up giving me a really good offer, so I went for it!

After seeing what others have said, there’s no way this number isn’t dodgy. For weeks now, almost every day just after 1pm, I've been getting calls from numbers like 0333 338 1014 up to 0333 338 1023. I just block them all straight away. There’s no chance this is anything legit. I’m not even thinking about picking up when I see one of those.

It's Three Mobile on the line, apparently reaching out regarding some potential upgrades.

They were already aware of who I was.

So I got a call from 3 about an upgrade, but then they said they'd ring me back because I apparently had some unpaid bill to clear up first. If they were trying to scam me, surely they would've just grabbed my bank info straight away, right?

I've had three calls from this number. The person calling seemed to already have my info, but I didn’t agree to anything; they only added a note to my account. Later, I phoned 333, which I know is the legit number, and had a chat with them. Turns out, the note was indeed on their system, and they were just following up because my contract was ending. Basically, these numbers are just different parts of the support team’s lines.

I got a call from Three, not a scam or anything, just checking if I’m interested in an early upgrade. I’ve got a new phone arriving on Monday, so yeah, it’s definitely legit!

Me and my hubby called three Mobile to check if this was their number. They told us it isn't recognised by their system. Today, this number rang me three times but I just ignored it.

This number made an attempt to contact me on two occasions. The initial call resulted in a voicemail, but when I checked it, there was complete silence. On the second try, I wasn't even given a chance to pick up, and they didn't leave any message at all! Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Today, this number rang me twice but I didn’t pick up either time. Later, I received a text saying there was a voicemail waiting. I checked my voicemail box, but there wasn’t anything there. Quite strange!

This number rang me twice today. The first time it went straight to my voicemail but there was no message left. When I picked up the second call, there was just silence on the other end.

I saw this number ring my old phone a couple of times but I never picked up since I don’t really take that phone everywhere with me. Anyone know what’s up with it?

Got two calls from this number, picked up the second time. A guy with an Indian accent on the other end said he was ringing from Three and wanted to talk to whoever holds the account (which isn’t me). Don’t know if it’s some kind of scam to grab personal details or just a salesman pushing a new offer. Anyway, didn’t bother with it, just blocked the number.

Not too sure, maybe it's been about 3 years since my contract ended. I'm happy with it as it is, so I just ignore those calls.
9 years
I didn't answer when they rang initially, so I rang them back and got through to someone from 3's customer service. They were offering to update my contract, but I asked to verify some info first just to be sure it was genuine - like asking for the third and seventh letters of my registered email, which is all they could share due to privacy rules. The person was really courteous and kind, even though I decided not to take up their offer.

I had a call from this number today, the 3rd of March. I decided not to pick up because I had a feeling it was a dodgy call, so I went ahead and blocked it. Turns out my instincts were spot on!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who said she was from Three. She started telling me about some offer and claimed I'd been picked for it, but it sounded total rubbish to me. She mentioned I could get an upgrade without having to pay a penny, which just didn’t feel right.

I'm pretty sure this was from Three. The number rang me up to pitch the exact same deal I got in an email the day before. The email they used seems legit, as it’s only ever been connected to Three and I don't think it’s been hacked or anything. They were quite polite when I said no, which was nice!

Got a call from this number and straight away thought it was some dodgy scam. I ended up hanging up and then chatted to Three about it, cause I couldn’t believe the caller knew so much about me. The chat support told me it was genuinely someone from Three, which honestly caught me off guard. I told them the number has loads of bad reviews and seems like a scam, and I made it clear I don’t want any calls like this again or I’ll switch to a different network.

TOTAL RIP-OFF Some bloke rang me up, knew my name, sounded Indian, and claimed to be calling from Three saying there was a new offer for me. He then had the cheek to ask for my passwords! I told him to jog on and he hung up almost straight away but kept acting like he was with Three. After that, I even got some texts from them supposedly following up.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Indian. He said my name and mentioned I’d switched to a sim-only deal not long ago, then asked if I fancied upgrading to a phone plan with supposedly three months free. All that stuff he said is true, but honestly, I don’t think it’s really three months or whatever. I’m happy with what I’ve got now so I didn’t bother to push it further.

Just received a random call from this number a moment ago, but I chose not to answer it. I reckon if you let it ring, they’re less likely to bother you again. Not that I often get calls from 03 numbers, so my instinct tells me it might be a scam. Based on the chatter from others, it seems I’m not the only one thinking this way. There’s definitely been an uptick in dodgy calls targeting mobile users lately, which suggests a bigger problem at play. If you don’t know the caller, it’s best to steer clear and not answer. A quick search online can reveal a lot-sites like this one will often provide insights on whether the number is linked to scams or something else entirely. And considering I’m with Three as well, it adds an extra layer of suspicion!

I answered the call, and then they just cut off without a word. This isn’t the first occurrence, though.

I just had a chap ring me from 3, claiming they’d ditched 3G and 4G altogether, as they’ve made the leap to something called SugerG! Then he abruptly ended the call.
10 years
I’ve gone through the various remarks claiming it’s dodgy, and yet they never actually picked up my call, which left me rather torn. When I eventually got through to the chap, I felt a twinge of doubt regarding his legitimacy as he was throwing around phrases like ‘100% discount’ and ‘three months at no charge’ on a new phone plan, despite the fact that I'm currently tied to a SIM-only arrangement. I ended up asking him to ring me back tomorrow for clarity. Just moments ago, I spoke with Three’s customer service team, and they've assured me that I am indeed eligible for all the benefits he mentioned!

Don’t fall for it, they say they’re from Three but they’re not. They ask for your password first, supposedly to give you some ‘unmissable deal,’ but it’s just a trickscam.

This number rang me on both my mobiles, one of which is on Three and hardly anyone else has it. I ignored the calls and there were no voicemails either. I’m not planning to return the call because it feels like a dodgy attempt to make money. Definitely fishy if you ask me.

I got a random call at work today, loads of strange numbers have been ringing me lately. When I answered, I stayed quiet and the bloke just said hello. I told him straight up I ain't got time to faff about, and he said fair enough. Then he asked how I was, and I asked if it really made a difference. He looked a bit thrown and said “what do you mean?” I told him he should tell me that. Next thing, he just hung up on me. I had a feeling I was in trouble. Guy had a really nice voice tho (thanks for reading btw :) )

Utterly concerning scam. They've been unlawfully pilfering £4.50 from my account each and every week. I had a bit of a battle with EE, but after much insistence on my part regarding the fraudulent activity, they finally refunded me. I do worry that EE's security measures might not be up to scratch. It's really indicative of the current climate, with scams becoming alarmingly common these days.

I just had a peculiar phone call from someone purporting to be with 3, insisting they could wipe out the rest of my contract and hand me a shiny new phone. They mentioned they'd attempted to contact me several times via text, yet I haven’t seen hide nor hair of any messages. Oddly enough, they requested my postcode, even though I was the one receiving the call. I decided enough was enough and ended the call right there.

To clarify, I rang up 3 directly afterward, and they were completely baffled, having no record whatsoever of such a call or any mention of the supposed offer.
