Today, at around quarter to four in the afternoon on 26/10/25, I got a call from 03330 456003 - a number I've found to be linked to scams. The message was automated and glitchy, telling me to ring my bank (Barclays) and, eerily, they even used my name. I quickly checked the fraud hotline for Barclays and looked up this suspicious number. Didn’t engage at all since I’m pretty clued up on scamming tricks and dodgy call tactics. 23/5/2024, SCAM ALERT, BEWARE OF THESE SWINDLERS!! I renewed my car tax online and received a proper DVLA receipt confirming payment. Two days later, I got a call from this number saying my payment was declined 'due to possible fraud' and asked me to ring a different number. I double-checked the DVLA website - everything was fine! I tried calling the original number from a private line, no one picked up. How on earth do they have my phone details? I’m registered with the TPS! I got in touch with Barclays fraud dept to check a phone number. They told me they called coz a payment of mine was declined but they didnt know that number they called from. So i rang back that same number and got an automated system asking me a security question about my payments which i answered right. Like I said before, this is not Barclays or any legit bank calling you. These scammers can fake any number that shows up on your phone so it looks like a real call. The smartest thing to do is just not answer. If you pick up, you’re basically telling them your number is active and they’ll probably add it to a list to sell to other fraudsters. It’s best to have a phone or app that shows caller ID clearly so you only pick up numbers you know. I can't believe some folks still fall for these, thinking it’s a bank. Barclays told me not to ring this number, but rather the one on the back of your debit card. It seems to be a fake or spoof number. Better be cautious. Like you, I know how hard it is to make money, so it's best to stay safe.

I got a call from this number on the 14th of September, 2019. It was an American woman’s voice on a recorded message, claiming to be from Barclays Bank stating there was suspicious activity on my account. She instructed me to call a different number beginning with 033303, but I didn't manage to catch the rest as I hung up before she finished.

Got a call from this number earlier today, an automated message claiming to be from Barclays Fraud Dept. I noted the time and then phoned Barclays using the number on my card. Their customer service told me they hadn’t made any calls, confirmed it was a scam, and said I did well to check with them and report it. The same number rang me again this afternoon.

This number 0333045003 kept sending texts and ringing me, claiming it was Barclays. They said I had to ring them back within a day or so urgently. It’s definitely a scam! I phoned Barclays customer support myself to check, and they told me it does not belong to them.

I would Recommend blocking this number immediately. I ignored their call and then they went on to ring my landline three times back-to-back, which feels really unprofessional. I doubt a company like Barclays would ever do something like that.

Hey, in our situation we just hung up the automated call, looked it up here, and then double-checked on Barclays' official site. The number is legit, but just in case it’s a spoofed call, ring Barclays on 0345 050 4585. We phoned and found out there were a few dodgy transactions this morning, including a £140 try to EE. So yeah, it really was a proper call but NEVER press any numbers to connect through the automated message. Always call Barclays back on that number or the one on your card to be safe. The number itself is genuine but could be faked.

Got a robocall from 03330456003, they said it was Barclays Bank Fraud and even used my full name. Then asked me to press any key for more checks. I just hung up straight away. Call came through at 13.34.
