Got spammed loads by someone who's convinced I had a crash I definitely didn't. Every time I say I wasn’t in any accident, she starts shouting, insisting her files say otherwise and I have to spill the details. I told her to go ahead and fill me in on what she knows, and she asked if it was because of carelessness? I played along and said, “Absolutely, I was driving down a country lane, took a bend, and smashed into Santa’s sleigh, sending him flying over my car bonnet.” She immediately hung up, which was a relief as I was about to do the same. Blocked the number straight away.

I get calls from them almost 3 times a week; I've told them loads of times I haven’t been in any accident but the woman keeps insisting I have! So I asked her to explain what happened in my accident, and she just brushed it off and asked if it might’ve been negligence? I replied that it was for sure negligence because I took a corner too sharp and ended up hitting Santa’s sleigh, watching him fly over my car bonnet. Then she just hung up, which was brilliant as I was just about to do the same.

Ever since i used those comparison sites, my phone has been buzzing non-stop. I recently got car insurance and looked up prices on Compare The Market, Go Compare and Confused[###]. I made sure to opt out of marketing calls by ticking the right boxes but it made zero difference. It really feels like these callers are just dodgy criminals who get our details illegally, probably from overseas. And it’s like the sites and phone companies couldn’t care less or don’t do anything about it. Honestly, these calls aren’t even worth answering just to shout at them!

The gear they use is really poor- I had to ask Crystal to slow down because the high tones were making her words unclear. English isn’t her native tongue. She kept going even after I accused her of trying to scam me and kept pushing about a crash in the past two years.
