Persistent Harassment - An individual consistently calls me to inform me about an accident that, in reality, did not occur. When I inform her that I haven't been in an accident, she raises her voice and insists that her records indicate otherwise, thereby demanding that I disclose all the details. In response, I suggest that she enlightens me with everything she knows since she seems to be so well-informed. Surprisingly, she asks me if the accident was a result of negligence. Considering it an opportunity to play along, I respond, "Oh yes, absolutely! I was driving along a narrow lane, went around a corner, and accidentally collided with Santa's sleigh, knocking Santa right off my car's hood." Much to my relief, she abruptly hangs up, which is good timing as I was planning to do the same. Subsequently, I've blocked this number.

I get calls from them almost 3 times a week; I've told them loads of times I haven’t been in any accident but the woman keeps insisting I have! So I asked her to explain what happened in my accident, and she just brushed it off and asked if it might’ve been negligence? I replied that it was for sure negligence because I took a corner too sharp and ended up hitting Santa’s sleigh, watching him fly over my car bonnet. Then she just hung up, which was brilliant as I was just about to do the same.

Ever since i used those comparison sites, my phone has been buzzing non-stop. I recently got car insurance and looked up prices on Compare The Market, Go Compare and Confused[###]. I made sure to opt out of marketing calls by ticking the right boxes but it made zero difference. It really feels like these callers are just dodgy criminals who get our details illegally, probably from overseas. The gear they use is really poor- I had to ask Crystal to slow down because the high tones were making her words unclear. English isn’t her native tongue. Some bloke rang me saying i’d been in an accident and that apparently every accident has to be on a database by law. He reckoned they could sort out my uninsured losses or something.
