Someone named Samantha rang me, spoke with a heavy Indian accent, about a supposed crash my car had in the past two years. She said someone hit the back of my car. When I asked what car she meant, she wasn’t sure, but mentioned I might not have been the driver, maybe just a passenger. I told her I hadn’t been involved in any accident at all, so the call was pointless.

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she was abroad, you could hear a lot of wind in the backround. She told me the other person in my accident wanted to pay me compo. I said I knew nothing about any accident and she just said alright then and hung up! Best to ignore these calls!

For starters, they keep ringin' from loads of different numbers. Most likely, your info's been passed on by an insurance firm or maybe the garage that fixed your car. Best thing to do is just hang up and ignore 'em! They'll stop botherin' after a while.

They rang me insisting it wasn’t a sales call, but then started talking about me being able to claim £2.7k for some accident they said I had. I asked him if this was the sort of thing he wanted to do for a living and told him to maybe try going back to school and get some proper skills.

The person ringing me got really rude when i told them to take my number off their list, saying i supposedly wanted to be contacted. Total scam, should be stopped asap. They wouldn’t explain where they got my number from apart from saying it’s from a public database, but my number isn’t even on any public lists. When i asked her (a woman) to remove all my details, she flat out refused saying "NO, why would i do that." This definitely needs to be looked into more seriously.

Another call came through on 25/04/17 at 11:49 from 0330 059 0468 - blocked again. Lastly, got a call on 26/04/17 at 18:07 from 0330 059 0472 - blocked without hesitation.

Got a call from this number saying they were from some motoring investigations firm. They knew about a crash I was involved in a couple of years back and mentioned I might get compensation for uninsured losses. They wouldn’t say how much, just that paperwork would arrive by post, so I'm waiting to see what turns up. Didn’t give them any more info though, felt a bit fishy to me.

This lady kept saying I was entitled to £2000 because of a little crash I had. I asked if this was a cold call and she kept insisting it wasn’t, saying it was some government support for people involved in road accidents. was chatting about some accident and uninsured damages over £20,000. told them i was a passenger in my car, which a policeman mate was driving and there were two other coppers in the vehicle. mentioned i'd hurt my leg playing footie before all this. they claimed i’d broken my neck in the crash but i had no memory of it, so when they asked when it happened i said i couldn't recall ‘cos i’d been in a coma for months. they said i was still in hospital. in the end, they just ended the call.

Somebody called saying I owed money and that I’d ticked a box about having a minor accident within the past couple of years. I kept telling them three times I hadn’t, then they just ended the call.
