Car insurance con - they claimed they spotted from my renewal details that my car got hit and it wasn’t my fault. Totally false. I haven’t had any car insurance here in the UK for nearly a decade. Tried to jump in and ask where they got that info from, but she just kept going so I ended the call. (Female voice, sounded like ‘Olivia’ maybe, with an Asian accent.) After reading others’ experiences - especially about the nasty attitude from this ‘company’ - I’m just going to block them.

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming to be from Motor Car Investigations about a crash I was in. I told her she’s rubbish at investigating, then she claimed she wasn’t the actual investigator. What a load of rubbish. Honestly, the government ought to cover the cost of this annoying nonsense.

Got a call where they said nothing at first, so I said "hello??" and then they asked for a Mr Taylor. My surname isn't Taylor, but my partner's is Miss Taylor, so they mixed it up. Told them to remove me from their list. This number kept calling me loads during the week when I was at work. Fingers crossed they quit calling now.

Like others have said, a rude woman kept ringing me up, claiming I was involved in a small third party car accident. When I asked for more details, she got really moody. Every day this week I’ve had calls from a number starting 0330 059 04##, with the last two digits changing - 81 on Monday, 55 on Tuesday, 69 Wednesday, and 63 yesterday. I haven’t got a call from the one ending in 61 so far, but I reckon that'll come today. When I picked up the first one, there was nothing but quiet, then a woman claimed I was involved in a car crash. When I told her I wasn’t, she just cut the call.

Monday 24/07/2017 10:34 I picked up this number and said "Hello". All I got was silence at first. Then they asked to speak to me, I asked who it was, they gave a first name. When I asked what it was about, they said something about my car being damaged and that they were from some kind of legal/civil action company. I told them not to call again, and they just said "oh we will". Bit creepy, really. Best to just ignore and block. I'll mark this as harassment, could easily be a scam or worse, so be careful!

Got a call from 03300590481 and it finished with a sort of threat. I told 'em, "Please don’t ring me back." She just said, "Oh, we will." The 0330 code is actually for Ufone, a mobile operator out in Pakistan.

Called two times from different numbers with the same code. They said they’re from some investigation firm about a car accident I supposedly had. Got a call from this number last week, I told them I hadn’t been in any accident and to stop ringing me. Guess what? They called again. When I told the guy I’d already spoken to someone, he asked, “What’s the name of our company then?” I couldn’t catch his accent properly and said, “Sorry?” After repeating it a few times, on the third try he went, “What’s our company name, stupid?” That’s when I just hung up the phone!
