Every time I pick up, it’s just silence. I’ve had to block four different numbers this week, all with the same last two digits, so it’s obvs the same lot. They don’t say a word but keep ringing from different numbers after I block them. What’s the point!!!

The caller was quite courteous but couldn't manage to say my name correctly. They were ringin' about some minor accident I supposedly had, which obviously wasn't true. I told her off properly for cold calling and then ended the call. I've blocked the number now but these scammers seem to have loads of different lines, so it keeps happenin'. It's really bad as they bother lots of people, some of whom are quite vulnerable. If only I knew the right place to report them to.

Got a spam call claiming I’d been in a crash. The lady on the phone was actually quite polite tho. I told her I don’t own a car or any insurance and never had an accident, she just said ‘alright, thanks’ and ended the call. Honestly didn’t expect that, kinda wish more telemarketers handled it that way.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent about a car crash I supposedly had. I pretended to be grateful they reached out so fast since the crash was only yesterday. Then I said my car went off a cliff, I was still inside, and they were calling me from Heaven! Dead silence on the other end - absolutely priceless!

Somebody called sayin I’d been in a car accident, but their strong Asian accent made it hard to understand properly. I told them I haven’t had any accident in over 20 years and warned if they call again, I’ll report them to the police. How do they even get your number and know your name if you’re ex-directory? Strange.

Got a call about a "Motor Accident Claim" for an accident i definitely never had. When i’m not busy, i like to mess with them a bit. So i told them i was on a bike, but she still asked how many people were in the vehicle. I said 6. Then i added i work for a circus - i was driving with two in front, two behind, and two on my shoulders. There was a long silence as she probably checked her notes for a response! Maybe next time i'll say i’m on a skateboard?!

Got a call from some motor claims place about an accident I supposedly had, lol. Instantly knew it was a scam cos they called me Mrs and I’m not even married. She wouldn’t listen when I said I wasn’t in any accident, kept going on and on. I had to shout at her to get lost and leave me alone. Even as I was hanging up, I could still hear her messing about on the line, probably just repeating whatever she was told to say haha.

"I received a call about the small motor mishap you were a part of." However, they wouldn't disclose which solicitors they were affiliated with, the identity of the third-party insurer, or even when this so-called 'accident' occurred. I dragged it on for a bit before I mentioned that I wasn’t in the vehicle at the time of the incident. That was the end of that chat... just wasted five minutes of my life that I can never reclaim!

No idea who was on the other end, no one ever talks back, just weird noises. They rang me again today and it's not the first time either. I've blocked the number now, but it's pointless because they just switch to other numbers. Right now, I've got 46 numbers blocked on my phone and I'm certain some of them cycle through 5 or 6 variations. I reckon they use groups of 10 numbers since often just the last digit is different.

Got a call saying “I'm ringing about a little car accident you were part of.” They refused to say which law firm they were with, who the other insurance company was, or even when this supposed accident happened. I humoured them a bit before telling them I wasn’t even in the car when it got hit. That was that. Waste of five minutes I’m never getting back.

I received a rather puzzling call regarding an insurance claim for £2,550, supposedly linked to a minor incident involving my car. I insisted that I had never been involved in any such mishap, and to my astonishment, they attempted to imply I was just a passenger! Quite baffling, really. I decided enough was enough and ended the conversation right there.

Got a call from Sarah at Motor Investigations Company, said they were in Manchester. She wouldn’t give me a postcode or any official company registration details and was really dodgy about the whole thing. Said she wanted me to claim uninsured losses from a minor car crash I supposedly had in the last two years. Problem is, I’ve not had any accidents for at least 10 years. Definitely felt like a scam. Told her I’d report her to the Greater Manchester Police and then ended the call.

Got a call while I was working. The person said they were from a third party insurance company and that the other party had admitted fault, so they wanted to pay me. They wouldn’t give me any reference number, the name of the insurer, or when the accident supposedly happened. I told them straight up that it sounded like complete rubbish.
