This number has called me at least a dozen times in the past month. I didn’t pick up, but they left a voicemail saying there’s some sort of warrant for me from HMRC and to press 1 to talk to an officer. Total rubbish! It’s getting really irritating. I’m just blocking them now. Seriously, if you get the call, don’t press 1!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the tax department, said I was bein’ investigated. Sounded like they had an Asian accent, gave me a badge number and warned that if my employer had underpaid, I’d be responsible for it and accused of tax fraud. The bloke called himself Officer Chris Harris. Tried ringing the number back but no luck, it’s like it doesn’t even exist.
