Got a call from 03002004139 saying there’s some TAC fraud and a warrant out for me. They told me to press 1, which I did before I figured out it was a con. I’m worried now coz I probably gave them my name and address when I pressed the button. Then they just hung up. Not sure what to expect next, any ideas? Would really appreciate some help with this.

Was driving and got a call from 03002003935 on my mobile. I didn’t answer straight away, waited till I parked and could see who it was. Didn’t know the number so I just got rid of it. Later, I googled it on my laptop and yep, definitely a bot scam call.

i got a call saying there was an hmrc fraud case against me. they said if i didn’t press 1 and talk to them, bad stuff would happen. it was really scary at first, but then i realised it was a scam. please don’t press 1, just put the phone down. if it was really hmrc, they’d get in touch in a proper manner, not like this.

I hit 1 and this woman called Eva Black got on the line asking for my name. I told her since she’s the one who rang me, she should already have it. Then she just hung up. The background was super loud, sounded like a busy call centre. No clue what the call was for, but I’m guessing it might’ve been HMRC. Hopefully, they know these calls are going on.

I got a call like that too. It felt dodgy, so I rang the number back and it turned out there was no active service on it. The caller claimed to be HMRC, but I'm pretty sure it was a scam.
