03002003902 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03002003902 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls claiming to be from HMRC, warning of imminent arrest for tax fraud and urging recipients to press a number. Multiple sources confirm these calls originate from fraudulent operators, often overseas, attempting to extract money or personal details. Genuine HMRC contact is only made by letter or official email; they never demand immediate payment or threaten arrest by phone. Other reported nuisance calls include irrelevant businesses and potential phishing attempts, frequently blocked by users. Recipients are strongly advised not to engage, never provide personal information, and to use call-blocking services. Older or vulnerable individuals are particularly targeted, so regular checks with family and use of call barring is recommended. Always verify with trusted official sources before responding.

Got a call from 01880585523 on my landline this morning around 9.23am, an automated voice said my internet would be disconnected in 4 hours. No clue who they were, I was just about to leave so I ended the call. I use Sky and they always send me emails because I have major trouble hearing. If anyone else got this same call, best to double check with your internet company before doing anything, seems like it could be a scam?

Got two calls from 01782619151 today but the number seems made up. Tried calling back on my home phone here in Stoke on Trent and there was a message saying the number isn’t real. If this number rings you, best not to pick up. I only called back because I thought it might be the hospital about an appointment coming up next week.

Don’t pick up if you see this on your home or mobile phones. Best to get call barring set up. Also, keep an eye on elderly relatives or mates to make sure they’re not getting caught out by these scumbags. Proper nasty people.

Got a call from what sounded like HMRC India but the voice was kinda robotic, reminded me of Stephen Hawking. Naturally, I got really stressed when it said I was accused of tax fraud. Surely Ofcom or the cops need to sort these scammers out? It’s heartbreaking to think an elderly or vulnerable person might actually believe it.

Fraudsters in India keep hittting the UK with fake HMRC calls, this scam has been going on for ages now using copied fake numbers. They use voip and official BT phone listings.
