A genuine HMRC worker illegally shared my partner's private info and home address with someone from the public, who then showed up at our property, putting us at risk of scams and other dangers. HMRC did finally acknowledge the breach, but they blocked the proper procedures and let the culprit get away without any real punishment or investigation. Keep in mind: you don’t have to answer calls or meet HMRC agents in person; you can demand all contact be through letters. Never give them your personal details - they can’t be trusted at all. Absolutely shocking and deceitful behaviour.

I got a call from 03002003887 earlier today, and honestly, I nearly got caught out! These folks are really slick, so watch out everyone. If you’re not familiar with how these schemes operate, it could land you in some serious money trouble.

I've had calls from 0300 200 3887 and 0161 394 0359, claiming I owe £2,900.25 and threatening legal action if I don't pay. Honestly, I'd love to see them try to take me to court - then maybe they'd end up locked away for their scams. Proper idiots, the lot of them!!

At first, I got a call from some random number, then right after that, another one from an 0300 number. The guy said he was officer James with a bit of an asian accent and asked for me by name. He claimed I was in trouble for not paying my taxes and said legal action was coming. I just told him that wasn’t the case, and he ended the call. I made sure to inform the actual HMRC about it.

Got a call from some bloke saying HMRC had a warrant out for me for tax fraud or something. He had a weird accent, couldn’t really tell where he was from. I know it’s a scam, because HMRC always send letters first with full details and contact info before any of this nonsense. I just gave him a load of silly answers and then told him straight up “I know you’re trying to scam me.” Surprisingly, he said he’d already clocked that and thanked me for the chat before wishing me a good day. Not rude at least, but seriously, this is still a total scam, people!

They claimed I hadn’t collected a registered letter and that I owed HMRC tax money. Absolute rubbish since I’m retired and have been for years. Even after blocking their number and leaving a message, they keep ringing me. Such a nasty scam, the worst I’ve come across. Really hope they get caught soon.

This robocall came through a couple times already. I haven't worked in over 5 years cause I've been ill, so I know it's a scam straight away. The prerecorded voice on the line gave it away again. Found this site and it’s such a relief because these calls can be proper stressful, especially if you’re unwell or going through tough times.

Most folks spot this scam straight away, but what really worries me is that if you Google it, you'll get results claiming it's from HMRC.GOV.UK or something like that. Google's awful at sorting these things, which could easily trick some people.

Just got a call from 03002003887 and another from 03002003310. The voice was automated, saying they were HMRC. Don’t fall for it, it’s a scam. If you give them your bank info, they’ll drain your account. Stay safe, these folks are definitely up to no good.

So I got a call from 3002003887 and the person claimed loads of folks have already complained about the same thing. He was saying something like "Tax fraud via HMRC, you need to pay £50 immediately or the police will come arrest you." The way he spoke was really hard to follow, and he nearly yelled at me, saying he was just trying to help but I wasn’t listening or getting it. Honestly, just don’t bother picking up if this number rings you.

Complete con! Someone called saying I had an arrest warrant for owing HMRC money. I asked who they were and they gave me the name of my ex - which is pretty unusual. As soon as I said I’d call the police, they just ended the call. Definitely not to be trusted, blocked the number straight away!

I just got a call from someone claiming to be the HMRC tax fraud department, but the voice sounded total rubbish, like some cheap robot or cartoon. Honestly, if you’re gonna pretend to be official, at least try to sound real or use better voice tech, you lot are making it too obvious!

Just got a call from someone saying there’s a fraud case and a warrant out for me, then they tell me to press one on my phone. The person on the other end had really bad English and started asking for my info. Do they honestly think we’re daft enough to hand over personal stuff? Nah, I’m not falling for that. I've been getting calls from scammers pretending to be HMRC, saying there's a warrant out for me. They even called me two days ago from another fake HMRC number. Thankfully, I know better and just ignore them, but I really feel sorry for anyone who ends up getting tricked by these sorts of scams. Someone really needs to take action and put an end to this.

I've been getting these annoying calls from people claiming to be from the tax office. Every time I block one number, they just call me back using a number that's almost the same. It's really frustrating!
