Got a call from 0300 200 3889 earlier, and it was some dodgy automated voice with a funny accent, really poor English, telling me it was HMRC and that I'd be arrested for tax fraud. They kept trying to get me to hit a button. It's sad coz I bet some folks actually fall for this sort of thing.

This number just rang me and on answering, there was a recorded message warning about a tax fraud case filed under my name. It urged me to press '1' to contact the supposed Revenue Officer handling it. Then it went on to threaten that if I didn't do it straightaway, a warrant would be put out and I'd be arrested soon after. The guy’s voice sounded quite clear and convincing.
