Some bloke with a strong Indian accent called me saying I've got a warrant out for tax evasion and they're coming to arrest me in like 20 minutes. Bit alarming, to be honest.

Got a robocall claiming to be from HMRC saying there’s a warrant for my arrest if I didn’t hit 1. Completely bogus, just hung up. Total scam.

This number has called me three times already today. Just like others have mentioned, it’s some recorded voice trying to scare me about a warranty leading to an arrest. I really don’t know how to block numbers on my phone, otherwise I’d have done it by now. Definitely a dodgy scam.

Got calls from 0300 200 3882 and 0300 200 3886 with some bloke pretending to be from HMRC, saying I’d get arrested if I didn’t pick up. Didn’t bother answering and guess what? No one showed up. Still here, no arrests.

Got a call from this number today saying they were from HMRC... on a Saturday, no less! Gave me a load of rubbish about being arrested if I didn’t respond. Ha, as if! Here I am, still walking free and no signs of any arrest. Lucky me, I suppose 😄

Got a weird call from a robot voice claiming to be HMRC, saying I'm under fraud investigation. They told me to press 1 to talk or they'd arrest me. I ignored it and just ended the call. Seriously, what kind of outfit are these people running? They should be stopped. The number was 03002003882.

Got a call from an automatic voice saying I was gonna get arrested. I hit 1 and then it just dropped the call. Tried calling back, it showed HMRC, but their offices are shut on weekends anyway. I reckon scammers copied their number and are doing fake calls.

Had this HMRC scam call persistently, got proper fed up with it. Eventually waited till someone came on, then claimed I worked at HMRC myself - which I don’t, of course. The bloke on the other end got all jittery, ended up apologising and just ended the call. Felt pretty good getting my own back like that!

I just got a call saying I’m about to be arrested for tax fraud or something like that. Luckily, I’m not daft enough to fall for it, but I can imagine some folks might get really worried. Best thing to do is just hang up and don’t give it a second thought!

So I got a call from this number telling me I had to press one or else I'd be arrested. I ended up pressing one, then some bloke on the line said I could look him up online to prove who he was. He then asked for my details and NI number. I only gave my name, and he claimed I had a tax fraud case. He then asked if I had a solicitor to represent me. I said no and mentioned my accountant handles my affairs. Suddenly the call got cut off. Later, I rang HMRC and they confirmed it was a scam. Honestly, the police should really crack down on these sorts of calls.
