Got a call from this number not once, but twice, right as I was checking it out online. The second time it rang, I just blocked it straight away. Also, heads up about the HMRC email scam going around - I’ve checked with HMRC themselves and they said they never get in touch by phone or email. Would be great if sites like this could pass info over to the Police or some proper authority who could act on it. For every person who sees through it, I bet loads still get caught out.

I don’t get why BT or anyone else can’t just shut these callers down right away. It’s annoying that they’re allowed to keep hassling people like this for so long. Surely there’s a way to stop them fast?

Just got a call from this number, some bloke with a heavy accent saying he was from the Inland Revenue. He started accusing me of dodging taxes and threatening I'd get nicked if I didn't sort it out. He even gave me some case references and all. Proper scary stuff, really upsetting. They really need to put a stop to this madness.

I ended up pressing 1, and now they’re telling me I’m just 29 minutes away from being arrested - even though they have no clue who I am or where I live. Pretty clever scam, Elizabeth Oliver, though I swear she sounded like she was calling from India.
