Just got a call today saying I’m going to be arrested for tax fraud, totally freaked me out at first! Glad I found this thread, it’s such a relief to know it’s just a scam and I don’t need to worry about it. Definitely don’t have time to deal with that nonsense!

Got a call from 0300 200 3928, some dodgy fraud thing about HMRC saying I owed back tax and that there was a warrant for my arrest. The guy sounded Indian and kept threatening me that if I didn’t pay up, I’d be taken to court over some serious tax avoidance. He wanted me to cough up £2960 and even asked how I planned to pay. I just ended up hanging up ’cause it’s obviously a con!
