Got a call earlier from someone saying I was about to be arrested, they even left a voicemail. Sounds like they want me to call back so they can rip me off with a £400 a minute charge! Caller said they were from HMRC, but definitely seems dodgy.

Hey, I've got this exact threatening message like 5 times now. Just block the number and don’t bother. It’s definitely a scam. HMRC would never ring you up for serious matters like this - they always send a proper letter in the post. I’ve phoned HMRC loads of times to report these calls, but these idiots just keep switching numbers and ringing again. So annoying. :-/ - caller: Fake HMRC Revenue agent

Got a message claiming to be from Inland Revenue saying I’d be arrested right away if I didn’t press one. Total scam, obviously.

I got a call from this number today and since it looked like a London one I picked up. I didn’t say a word though, just stayed silent. There was nothing but quiet from their side before the call just dropped. I looked the number up online and found your site. Cheers for the info - I’ve saved it on my phone labelled as SCAM now.

Got a recorded call claiming to be from the Inland Revenue saying I owe tax and that it's serious, maybe even fraud. They told me to press a button but as soon as I did, they just ended the call. Sounds dodgy to me, should really get looked into.

Got a call from what sounded like HMRC, some robotic bloke saying I’m being accused of tax fraud. He said if I didn’t hit 1, they’d put out a warrant and get me arrested soon. Super dodgy automated male voice too.

I got a call and voicemail from this number just now. It really doesn’t sound like something HMRC would do. They usually send a letter if it’s serious, not some automated bloke leaving a message. Definitely seems dodgy to me.

This morning I got a call from some automated bloke, I pressed 1 and it just ended the call saying goodbye. Does anyone know if that means I should be worried or not?
