Got a call from 0300 200 3503, they said they was HMRC and an automated voice claimed I had a tax fraud case against me. They told me to press 1 to sort the tax or they'd take legal action. Sounded dodgy to me!

Got a robocall earlier claiming to be HMRC, warning me I'd be arrested for tax evasion if I didn't hit 1. It’s awful to think about how someone more vulnerable might react to this. I’m definitely passing this on to the proper folks. The number was 03002003520.

Yesterday around midday this number rang me, but since I was in the middle of a meeting and didn’t recognise it, I just ignored it. Good thing too. I don’t mind dealing with the muppets who try to scam you by saying you’ve been in a crash - at least you can mess about with them without revealing anything. But this one sounded like a pre-recorded message, so there’s no chance of having a bit of fun with it.

Just had a call from someone pretending to be the tax office, threatening me with arrest over some supposed tax fraud. Total scam! 30

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC or whatever. They said if I hung up or didn’t hit 1, there was a warrant for my arrest for some supposed fraud in my name. Right, as if! I’m 36 and not falling for that nonsense. Scam straight away! Number was 03002003503. Good luck trying to scare me, mate!

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be an HMRC agent called Lewis Harrington. He told me I supposedly owed £1927 in back taxes and warned that if I didn’t sort it out, I'd end up in court and could be hit with a bill for £29,000.

Got one of those fake HMRC calls earlier, kept telling me there’s some kind of fraud linked to my name. Just a nonstop scam, ringing like mad!

I had a call claiming to be from HMRC, the bloke told me there’s some fraud happening using my name. Then he told me to press one, otherwise they’d issue a warrant for my arrest, saying the police could come for me straight away. Funny thing is, I’m still here, no arrest yet 😹😹👍. I suppose I shouldn’t be taking the mick because it must scare some folk, but I’m 70 and still got my wits about me!

Got this robo call claiming to be HMRC saying I've done some kind of tax fraud. They told me to press 1 or else I'd get arrested. It's obviously a load of rubbish. I've blocked the number straight away. Still waiting on the police to turn up though!

I got a call from this number 03002003503 and the person said they were from the tax office. They warned me that if i didn’t hit 1 and pay up right away, someone would come to my home to arrest me for tax evasion. Felt like a total scam to me.

A robotic voice told me to hit 1 or else I'd get arrested, claimed there was a warrant out for me. I kept listening and honestly started chuckling, then figured I'd better look it up on Google just in case. Glad I wasn’t the only one targeted because it could’ve easily freaked out someone less clued up about their money situation, like me. These scammers are awful. They really ought to be locked up instead.

Got a call today with the exact same message as mentioned here, sounded like a computer. If it was something important, they’d have mailed me a letter, surely. Pretty obvious scam to me.

Today, 27th February 2019, at around 2:15 pm, I got a call from 03002003503, but I didn’t pick up. When I looked up the number, it showed up as HMRC National Insurance. I tried ringing it back from a burner phone and got a recorded message saying the number isn’t valid anymore and to call 03002003500 instead. Seems like this number might have been taken over by scammers. Caller unknown.

Got a voicemail on my mobile from someone rambling about “HMRC” and then threatening me pretty clearly: “If you don’t call back, you’ll have a warrant out and get arrested soon.” I’m in my sixties and know the police wouldn’t do things like this, especially not leaving threats on phone messages. I’m certain it’s a scam. I looked up the number here on this site and I’m about to contact the police on their non-emergency line to report this kind of harassment. I’d tell anyone else who gets a call like this NOT to answer or call back. Just report it to the authorities and maybe leave a comment on this site too. The number was +44 300 200 3503.
