03002003507 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03002003507 👆 is reported as a scam number impersonating HMRC, using cloned or spoofed legitimate HMRC numbers to deceive recipients. Callers often receive automated messages with an American accent falsely accusing them of tax fraud and threatening arrest if they do not press a button. Genuine HMRC does not contact individuals in this manner, nor do they use pre-recorded threats. Many users confirm these calls are phishing attempts aiming to elicit personal or financial information. Multiple reports advise ignoring the calls, not pressing any buttons, and blocking the number. Genuine HMRC communications usually occur through official channels and can be verified independently. Users are encouraged to report these incidents to the appropriate fraud authorities.

If this turns out to be a scam, surely BT and the like could do something about it - but do they? I’m not convinced they even bother. I just don’t pick up any weird numbers - if it’s urgent, surely they’d leave a voicemail, but they never bother with that!

Got a call just now, it was all automated and seemed totally dodgy, probably a scam.

I called HMRC to double check and yep, it’s definitely a scam.

Has anyone here tried pressing "1" during those calls? You'd be surprised how easy it is to set up any phone number to ring out, even if it's not actually yours.

I got a call from some automated voice, sounded like a guy from the US, saying there’s a warrant out for me over tax fraud. Totally dodgy and definitely a scam. They even faked the number to make it look like it was from HMRC. Don’t fall for it!

I received a pre-recorded call about an alleged HMRC fraud investigation, instructing me to press 1 for an operator. I immediately ended the call and decided to do a bit of digging online, which led me right to this site.

I got a call claiming the same thing, but when I dialled the number back, it actually sent me through to a real HMRC contact instead. Bit odd, but at least it wasn’t a complete scam.

I just received a call from this number claiming something about fraud and threats of my arrest. I didn’t engage, simply hung up straight away.

Got a call from some dodgy HMRC scammer, sounded like a dumb American robot voice. Luckily I blocked the number straight away. Watch out everyone, don’t get tricked by these lot!

Got a call from 03002003507 claiming I’m involved in tax fraud and threatening arrest unless I hit '1'. Sounds totally fake to me. HMRC doesn't make calls like this at all. Best thing to do is just ignore and block them. Don’t fall for this rubbish!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC with a robotic voice. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Lookin this number up shows it’s supposedly HMRC, but it just doesn’t feel right. If someone was really after me for money, I doubt they’d use some dodgy recorded message sending me off to a call centre overseas. If HMRC genuinely wanted to get in touch about debts, they’d do it proper and official. Total scam alert here, honestly!

Total scam, watch out! I got this robocall telling me I had a tax fraud lawsuit against me and if I didn't hit 1, they'd send the police after me. I've had jobs before where the company called me lots but never got a dodgy call like this one.

They said if I don’t hit option 1, I’m going to get arrested or something. Really freaked me out.

Don't fall for this, it's definitely a scam. They've copied actual HMRC numbers that are being discontinued, like ones ending in 3501, 3504, and 3507. If you try calling these back, you'll get through to the real HMRC. I actually work at HMRC and can confirm we never make these calls. Our team has been busy all day dealing with people asking why we called them, when in fact we haven't rung anyone.

Got a call from some automated yankee voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying if I didn’t hit 1 a warrant would be issued for me. Seriously, what a load of rubbish! Just your typical phishing scam. Honestly, if anyone falls for that, they’ve got to be a right muppet.

Twice now I've had calls from some robot voice with an American accent. It says there's a tax probe going on linked to me and warns if I don't hit 1, I’ll end up getting arrested. Quite annoying!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, but it was total scam. The voice was pre-recorded, sounded like some American telling me to press 1 or I’d be arrested. It’s obviously fake - HMRC would always reach out in ways you can actually check if there was a problem. Don’t fall for it, it’s all a big scam!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with HMRC, accusing me of tax fraud. They told me there was an arrest warrant and that I was going to jail. When I asked for his name, he ended up swearing at me. I hung up straight away. He tried ringing me two more times after that. The police confirmed it was a scam and advised me to report it on www.actionfraud.police.uk.
