03002003384 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03002003384 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number falsely claiming to be from HMRC, using automated messages and pressure tactics to threaten arrest or demand personal information. Many call recipients report receiving silent calls or hang-ups after questioning legitimacy. Some scam calls reference outdated tax credits or self-assessment issues with no prior official correspondence. Genuine HMRC never demands sensitive details over unsolicited calls and advises contacting them directly via official channels. Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMRC, said it was urgent and gave me a number to ring back. Tried the number and it’s totally dead. Definitely a scam!

Today, 10 March 2025, I got a call from someone named Maria who said she was ringing from HMRC. I’ve never had a call from HMRC on my landline before, so I didn’t believe her and definitely didn’t give out any info. Can’t trust those calls at all.

Today I got a call from this number claiming to be from HMRC. But when I asked for more info about who they were after or what it was about, they just ended the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

This morning, I received a call from the number 0300 200 3884 completely out of nowhere. The person said I was owed a refund for tax credits, which struck me as odd since my daughter’s already 20 and I’m 60. We stopped claiming tax credits ages ago, when she was about 7, so this seems very unlikely.

This morning at around 8:30, my landline rang from a withheld number. The call stopped as soon as my voicemail kicked in. Then, shortly after, I got another ring on the landline, this time from 0300 200 3384. I answered but all I got was silence. I kept saying “hello”, and suddenly a robot voice said “goodbye” and hung up. Not long after that, the same number called my mobile. I picked up but again, nothing. I just ended the call straight away.

Not sure who tried ringing me, but the call ended up going to HMRC instead. I returned the call earlier today around 6pm.

Today, I saw that I missed three calls from this particular number. After a bit of searching online, I found out it’s linked to some kind of scam, so I decided not to ring back. Looks like scammers have been using this same number for over five years now.

Just got a call from 0300 200 3884, so I rang it back but only got a voicemail saying it was HMRC and that I missed their call and they'd try again. Since I read on here that it's a scam, I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

This girl rang me saying she was from HMRC about some tax money I supposedly owe because of my old job (she even said my employer’s name). I cut her off straight away and told her not to bother calling or texting me again. Despite that, I’ve had four texts in the last month from a number showing as PD?C, saying the same thing about owing money to HMRC and mentioning my previous workplace once more. What a nuisance!

Absolutely, I've received a call from this number as well, and the chap on the other end was rather insistent that I was going to be apprehended due to some unpaid taxes. I made it clear to him that I'd be notifying the authorities, yet he persists in bombarding me with calls over and over again. Quite infuriating, really!
