Got a call from this number earlier, they told me to hit option 1 or else I’d get arrested. Naturally, I pressed it, then a bloke with an American accent just said “thanks, goodbye” and hung up. Weird!

I got this scary call telling me to press 1 to speak to someone from HMRC, so I did. Then a bloke started asking for my name and where I live, but the moment I said I’d better verify their number, he just cut me off. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from someone saying they’re from HMRC, but I’m not daft so I didn’t press any buttons. It was some recorded voice telling me there’s been fraud on my tax and if I don’t press 1 to speak to an advisor, I’d face arrest soon. Total scam. The number was ‭0300 200 3355‬. Don’t fall for it!

Just got a call like Rebecca and Steve mentioned. The voice said something about me having a fraud case with HMRC and that if I didn’t hit "1" I’d be arrested soon. Really threw me off coz I’d just been on the official HMRC website a minute ago :-(. Caller said they were from HMRC but defo not them.

Got a call from some man saying he was from HM Revenue and Customs. He claimed I had a warrant out for my arrest over some debt and that if I didn’t press 1 to talk to an officer straight away, I’d be arrested. Proper scary stuff at first, but I reckon it’s a scam. I treated it like a load of rubbish and I’m pretty sure I was spot on. Definitely worth reporting and trying to mess with these fraudsters instead. Absolute muppets, the lot of them.

This morning I got a call from this number and there was a recorded message saying I'd got a fraud case with HMRC and to press 1. I knew straight away it was a scam. Would've freaked me out if I didn't deal with my accountant all the time!
