Got a call today at 4:20pm from 0300 200 3369. They said if I didn't press 1 there’d be some sort of warrant out for me. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

Got a call from 03002003357 on 16/01/19 at around 3.46pm. It was one of those automated voice things claiming to be HMRC, telling me there was some kind of tax fraud linked to me. They threatened arrest if I didn’t press 1. Proper dodgy scam, I just hung up straight away.

Got another call today saying there was some fraud issue and i'd be arrested if i didn't press 1. I just hung up on them. The first time this happened, the number was 01244 940621, which when I checked online turned out to be a phone for a brewery in Chester. Pretty sure it's a scam.

This number called me around 3.52 in the afternoon and started off with a weird threat about getting arrested if I didn’t press a button and confirm my name. I just ended the call straight away, didn’t want to deal with their nonsense.

So, this call came through saying that (a) HMRC had filed a tax fraud case against me and (b) if I didn’t press 1 straight away, I’d be arrested for it. I went ahead and pressed 1 just to check what would happen next. After that, I heard a click, and then the phone just cut off.

About three minutes ago, I got the same call and immediately searched it on Google. It's reassuring to find out I’m not the only one who’s had this happen. I didn’t respond or hit any numbers, and after being silent for around 10 seconds, the call just ended.

Pretty much the same here, got a call saying HMRC are going to take legal action against me. The voice totally reminded me of MaxHeadroom, bit glitchy like that. They really should have been a bit more careful with the scam, proper funny though! 😂

I got two calls back to back in less than a minute, which seems odd. If it was really HMRC, they would've left a proper voicemail, not just silence. So yeah, I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Just got a call supposedly from HMRC accusing me of some tax fraud stuff. Honestly, HMRC would never ring you up like that! Clearly some scammer trying to trick me. Do not press 1 or anything, you could end up getting charged or worse. I just hung up straight away and probably dropped a few swear words out of frustration.

They claimed to be from HMRE and said I'm involved in a fraud case, but couldn’t provide any real info. Then they tried to scare me into paying some ‘fraud tax’ they said I owed. Total rubbish!
