I received a call claiming to be from HMRC, stating I should press 1, or they’d be issuing an arrest warrant! Given that my house was recently broken into and my personal details might have been compromised, I found it prudent to block the number. It feels rather perilous. I'm in the process of informing the police about this situation!

I'm right there with you, these scam calls are driving me nuts. As soon as I hear the telltale signs, I cut the call and slap the number straight onto my block list, which keeps getting longer by the day. Seriously, can't anyone put a stop to these? It's getting out of hand. To try and stay ahead, I've got two phones now - one for contacts I suspect might share my details for marketing, and the other just for those I genuinely trust. My strategy? Hang up ASAP and block the number. They claim to be from HMRC but it’s pure scam. 😠😠😠
