Just a couple mins ago, the same number called me. They asked me to ring back on their landline but when I did, the call dropped straight away. No one was there. This is like the 15th time I've got these random calls on both my mobile and home phone. Honestly, they should block this number cos it's driving everyone mad. I got a call from someone claiming they knew my phone provider and said they could help lower my bills. I kept asking how they had that info and what their connection was with Openreach, but they just kept saying they follow Openreach rules and kept sticking to their script. Eventually, they put a supervisor on the line who wasn’t any more helpful. I kept questioning them until I told the guy maybe he should just end the call, which he eventually did. (I never hang up first.)

I ended up waiting ages for some lady with a strange accent to say anything. She muttered something about an issue with my phone charges, but as soon as I started to reply, she hung up sharpish. Clearly she was hoping to catch someone gullible, but lucky for me, I wasn’t the right target.
