02045258118 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02045258118 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number frequently contacting people with false claims of winning competitions or prizes, often mentioning well-known brands like Tesco, Amazon, or Pampers. Callers typically try to elicit personal and bank details under the guise of delivering winnings but abruptly end calls when challenged. Many recipients note repeated calls with no messages left and express frustration at the aggressive tactics, including unsolicited lottery entries and voucher offers. The scam can be convincing as the caller sometimes knows personal details, but the consensus is that engaging risks exposing sensitive information. Blocking and reporting the number is highly advised, and vigilance is essential, especially for vulnerable individuals.

After seeing the comments here, I’m pretty sure it was a scam. They claimed to be from PC World and were trying to give me an iPhone 13 Pro with a SIM card. Not sure if they asked for any banking info since I told them I already owned one, and then they just ended the call.

I picked up the call, anticipating something from London. To my surprise, the voice on the other end claimed to be from PC World, attempting to peddle an iPhone Pro 13 along with a SIM package. When I declined and expressed my disinterest, they seemed to press for a reason. I made up some excuse, saying I already owned one (which, truth be told, I don't). After that, they promptly ended the call. I’m left wondering if it was a genuine call or just another dodgy scam?

this person rang saying I’d won some perfume competition, then suddenly started putting me in some lottery and picked loads of lucky numbers for me. kept going on about how I could collect my prize, wouldn’t let me get a word in edgeways, and then just cut the call out of nowhere.

This has gotta be a scam, they kept asking for a name I have no clue about. When I told them to quit calling, they just hung up on me. They've rung me like 13 times over the last three days. Just ignore if they call you, definitely not worth picking up.

I sometimes think about what kind of questions they ask when hiring people for this. Like, do they just say, "Fancy tricking folks on the phone?" That'd be a mad interview question, wouldn’t it? Haha!

Got a call from 02045258118 claiming I’d won a Tesco voucher and gave me some free lottery tickets. Then they kept asking for my bank details - I told them three times I don’t have a bank account. They said without it they couldn’t proceed and then just hung up on me. Proper dodgy!

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won a Pampers contest. I told them I didn’t recall entering anything like that, but they insisted I had signed up late on Sunday night. I played along, staying super careful because I suspected it was dodgy. Then they said I was a finalist in some competition. After that, they offered free EuroMillions lottery tickets for Friday and asked me to choose some lucky numbers. Next, they wanted to know my bank details to send the prize money. I told them I knew it was a scam and wasn’t interested anymore, then they just hung up on me.

I received a phone call informing me that I'd won a competition I knew nothing about. When I mentioned that I hadn't actually participated in any contest, they insisted that I definitely had. Curious, I probed further, asking for details about this so-called competition. They excitedly mentioned a Tesco voucher as my prize. I replied politely, asking for specifics about when and how I had entered. Before I could finish my sentence, they abruptly disconnected the call. Quite the dodgy encounter, I must say!

So I picked up and said “hello, scammer” right off the bat since my phone flagged the call as dodgy. The guy got all annoyed and kept making me repeat what I said. When I asked where he was calling from, he just wouldn’t tell me. I told him straight up to hang up if he wasn’t gonna keep with his scam attempt. After a bit of back and forth, he finally gave up and hung up. Score one for me!

At first, they told me I’d won some sort of lottery, but then straight away asked for my bank details. I told them to just send the tickets over email instead, but she said that wasn’t possible. So I said nah, I’m not interested. They actually called me again the next day, and I just told them to leave me alone.

I keep receiving calls claiming that I've won an Amazon voucher from a competition I supposedly entered on a day that seems entirely fabricated! When I tell them, “I didn’t enter anything,” they just insist that someone did it for me. And when I push back and say, “No one has entered on my behalf,” they promptly cut the conversation short and hang up. Quite the peculiar experience, to say the least!

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from a competition regarding Amazon vouchers. She addressed me by name and mentioned that I had won. Naturally, I was a bit sceptical and inquired about when I supposedly entered this competition. She threw out a date that coincidentally happened to be my child's birthday, a day I was far too busy to engage in any competition. Then she pivoted and suggested that a family member had signed me up, which immediately rang alarm bells. I firmly replied that no one had entered me into anything, and it was clear she sensed I wasn’t buying her story, as she promptly cut the line.

I received a call from this number claiming I'd won a set of ten free lottery tickets. They said there were fifty others in the running and that any winnings would have to be shared amongst us all. However, before anything could be confirmed, the woman on the line insisted they needed to process details through their office first. Strangely enough, she also mentioned she couldn’t take my bank information over the phone, but then went on to ask for it anyway! I promptly hung up and blocked the number thereafter. Just a heads-up to everyone - be careful!
