I just said hello when I picked up, then the guy started telling me I’d won a Tesco voucher from some contest. Thing is, I don’t shop at Tesco at all. When he’d finished, I acted like I couldn’t hear him and said hello one more time. That was the only thing I actually said in the whole chat, then they just ended the call. Some bloke called himself Michael Ramsey, but his accent was totally off for that name. He claimed I'd won a contest and somehow had all my details - name, email, birthday - then rang me on my mobile. Said I was a lucky winner and could get anything from £1000 up to a million pounds, and they'd just put it straight into my bank. He kept pushing, even gave me a customer service number to check on (0203 936 9681), which I reckon was just his mate on the other end. I've gone ahead and blocked all those numbers now.

Somebody called me with a strong Indian accent and already had my full name and email, so I'm guessing they got it from some dodgy site I might've signed up to. They started talking about the EuroMillions and claimed I'd won, which made no sense since I never played. They had me pick 5 lucky numbers, then another 2 digits between 1 and 12, but I don't even know what those were for. Next thing, they asked for my bank details and wanted the first six digits of my card. I didn’t like the sound of that and just ended the call straight away.
