I received two calls today, and during the second one, I picked up. It was a chap on the line who was jabbering away in Russian. I was a bit taken aback and asked him to repeat himself, but he just hung up. Quite strange, to say the least! I've since blocked the number.

They rang me up seven times all in the same day, but I never answered once.

They've already rung me three times today!

Some woman called me claiming I’d have a better shot at winning the EuroMillions. I reckon they must’ve grabbed my number from those free samples I ordered, haha. She kept pushing me to sign up for some monthly subscription that lasts three months. When I asked if she needed my bank details, she said yes, including sort code and all that jazz. I just told her, “No way, cheers for calling though.” She got the hint straight away. Think I’ll just block her number now.

Someone called me saying I’d won a prize but then got really pushy asking for my bank details. They tried to sound all convincing, saying “don’t worry, we’re not after your card info, just your sort code and account number.” I kept telling them no, but they kept pressing for a good few minutes. Eventually I got bored of arguing and just ended the call.

I got a call saying I’d won some lottery tickets from the internet, but then they asked for my bank details over email. Definitely a scam, don’t hand over your cash to anyone!

This was actually a genuine call from Halifax Bank, which is under Lloyds. They were getting back to me about an issue I’d mentioned before.

These scammers ring up pretending to have won me a massive prize and then ask for my bank info to send the money. I decided to mess with them and gave them fake account details instead.

I got a call from someone claiming they had my info for testing a Dyson hairdryer, which I actually signed up for just yesterday. They mentioned sending me free EuroMillions tickets, but then started asking for my personal info. It made me feel pretty suspicious, so I told them I wasn’t comfortable and ended the call.

I was a bit tied up with my baby when they called, saying I’d won some lottery numbers and already had my bank info. So, I just went along with it and said yes.

They’ve been ringing me nearly every day, claiming I’ve won some kind of contest. I reckon it’s one of those dodgy Russian bot scams.

I experienced something quite similar recently. A chap called me claiming I’d won some lottery tickets, assuring me that I didn’t need to do anything at all or provide any banking details. All he wanted was my email address. Then, he started insisting that I verify my bank information. I reiterated several times that I wasn’t comfortable sharing any banking details. He kept talking about these free lottery tickets, suggesting if I won, I should treat his wife with some chocolates and him with a bottle of bubbly, which was rather amusing! Then, he shifted gears, asking for an internet banking code that isn’t actually printed on my card - just a code that the bank supposedly recognised. He mentioned he’d give me a ring later. Quite a peculiar encounter, really!

I had a rather curious phone call this morning from someone claiming I’d won some sort of competition. He then persisted in asking which bank I used. Before I knew it, he was trying to pry my banking information out of me. I mentioned I couldn’t provide that information right away, to which he became increasingly insistent, insisting that all he needed was my mobile banking info-no card required! When I told him I didn’t use mobile banking, he turned rather rude and even more aggressive. I ended up hanging up on him; it's clear this was a scam.

I received a rather dubious call earlier claiming that I had won some sort of competition. The chap on the line insisted that he was offering me complimentary access to the Euro Millions and, rather cheekily, asked for my bank account details. When I mentioned I didn’t have that information on me, he became rather aggressive and insistent. Apparently, he wanted to deduct £39 from my account, promising it would be refunded after 30 days if I didn't hit the jackpot. Quite the nerve of some people, isn't it?

I received an offer for a complimentary Lenor package, which somehow morphed into a conversation about lottery digits. Next thing I know, they’re asking me which bank I’m affiliated with, and then they wanted my sort code! No chance, I’d say!
