They said it was a free lottery and if you win, the money goes into a personal fund. Then they tried to get me to pay £39.99 to join some sort of membership. Asked for my bank details too, so I just hung up.

Got a call saying I’d won some competition, giving me 12 tickets in a Euro lottery with a syndicate of 150 folks. I asked them how exactly I entered this comp, what method I used, and when, cause I don’t recall signing up for anything like that, especially where the prize is just a chance at a prize! Then they claimed I’d entered a competition to win an iPhone. Could hear loads of people talking in the background, sounded like a call centre. Funny thing is, I’d missed a call from them earlier, so they’re pretty persistent. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I got a call saying I’d been picked in some EuroMillions draw but I never signed up. They told me the winners were chosen at random, so I chose five numbers. Then they said I’d won £5,000 and asked for my bank info. I refused, and the woman insisted I had to share it. I ended the call. About half an hour later, they called again saying I’d actually won £6,000 but had to pay a fee upfront to get the cash. Complete scam if you ask me!
