02045204445 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02045204445 👆 is reported as a persistent and dangerous scam call, often using automated messages claiming to be from "Bank Security" or "Visa," warning of fraudulent transactions - commonly citing amounts around £300 on Amazon and £1,000+ for international transfers. Callers pressure recipients to press keys or provide card details but give no specific bank name, indicating a clear phishing attempt. Many report repeated calls with no genuine follow-up, aggressive or abusive behaviour if challenged, and links to scam operations reportedly based abroad. Users strongly advise not answering or engaging, urging immediate hang-up and reporting to authorities. Blocking is frequently ineffective due to spoofed and changing numbers. Vigilance is crucial, and contacting your own bank directly to verify any concerns is highly recommended.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Homeserve, telling me my premium was going to drop and they needed me to verify my account number, expiry and CVC because they reckon my card was out of date. I told them I thought I wouldn’t have to give that info if it was a direct debit payment, but they said no, they only take card payments. When I said no I wasn’t giving the details, the bloke got annoyed and just hung up on me.

One thing I really like about BT Call Protect is how it stopped this dodgy number, so I didn’t have to deal with that obvious scam call. It’s good to know BT only blocks numbers when customers report them, though. I wonder if we’ll ever see any of the UK agencies that’re meant to tackle scam calls actually step up and block these spoofed numbers right away, especially when loads of them come flooding in from India. Surely the tech exists to sort this out by now?

I got a call supposedly from my bank’s security team, warning that two charges had gone through on my credit card. Once again, I’m plagued by unsolicited calls, likely from some dodgy outfit in Calcutta. It’s all about scamming folks with banking tricks. Do they not realise that we keep a keen eye on our financial dealings? To the person behind these ridiculous calls, I urge you to think twice. Your attempts at deception are painfully obvious, and your accents betray you. Just stop already!

Once again, we've got a bunch of spammers making the rounds. It's rather sad, really, seeing folks from India attempting to con some unsuspecting person out of their hard-earned money. I've got these dodgy charges on my bank account - one was £300 for Amazon, and the other was a £1000 transfer sent overseas. Definitely looks like some kind of scam.

Gotta hand it to them, they sure are tenacious. I didn’t even hear the full message, just hit 2 to talk to someone. Asked the lady what bank she worked for and she said Visa. Once I told her I don't have a Visa card, the call just dropped. Pretty obvious scam to me, so I’m tagging it as dangerous again.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the bank's security team, but they never mentioned which bank. They said there was a £300 charge and a £1000 transfer from my account. I just laughed and they hung up pretty quickly. Definitely a scam, super sketchy. Marking it as dangerous.

I received an automated message alerting me to some supposedly unauthorised transactions on my card, both locally and internationally, but it didn't clarify anything specific! I reached out to my bank, and they've confirmed there are no such charges. It’s evidently a phishing scam or a fraudulent attempt. My advice? Don’t engage with any prompts on the call-just end the conversation immediately!

I've been dealing with a fraudulent operation masquerading as Amazon. It’s utterly infuriating!

I'm starting to suspect this might be a bit dodgy. An automated message claiming to be from "bank security" just doesn’t sit right with me.

Just got a few calls from some automated voice claiming to be from my bank's security team, warning me about weird charges on my account. They said there were payments to Amazon for £300 and an overseas transaction for £1100. Really annoying coz I've had the exact same call like three times within the last hour!

I’ve had this number ring me like four times today. Each call had one of those automated messages saying there was suspicious activity on my card - something about two different transactions. The first call mentioned an amazon purchase, then the second talked about sending money overseas. I just let the last two calls go to voicemail and didn’t pick up.

Same here, £300 on Amazon and £1100 sent overseas. These nasty folks really deserve to be behind bars.

Got a couple of automated calls back to back in like 10 minutes. The voice claimed there was some dodgy transactions on my bank, like £300 to “amozan” and an £1100 transfer overseas. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Visa saying loads of money had been spent on my Visa through Amazon and some other places. But when I asked them to prove who they were, they just ended the call.

Had a phone call from someone claiming to be Amazon, saying I had to pay up or I’d lose my Prime membership. Definitely felt like a scam to me. I’ve reported it to the authorities dealing with fraud. They really should put a stop to these crooks soon.

02045204445 kept ringing me, obviously scammers wanting my bank info. I told them to call back after I was done messing about with his mum. That really set him off, he started swearing and throwing insults before hanging up. Proper laugh that one! 🤣🤣🤣

I got hit by that Amazon scam last month, even though Call Guardian was on my side. Those scammers really know what they’re doing, be careful out there!

Just received a call from 02045204445, but I decided to let it ring. Only found out about the number by calling BT's 1471 service. Now I'm here to report this nuisance on the site. Better luck next time, mate! Hope you're seeing this!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the "Security Department" at a bank, but they never mentioned which bank it was. They talked about two suspicious charges on a card, but didn’t say who the card belonged to. It was pretty obvious it was a scam, but I can see how people might get caught out by it.
