Received a call purporting to be from Three, touting a deal for the latest Apple or Samsung devices at just £30 per month. When I expressed disinterest, the caller suddenly switched tactics, trying to entice me with an all-inclusive SIM for a fiver a month while promising I could retain my current number. It was clear she hadn't realised I was already a Three customer! After I called her out for the dodgy sales pitch, she lost her cool and unleashed a stream of rather unpleasant insults.

I had a similar experience! I gave a friendly greeting, and just as I was about to chat, there was this strange sound and then they cut off the call. Quite bizarre, really!
