From around 9:30 in the morning right through till 5 in the evening, they won’t stop calling me. It’s gotten really bad because every time the phone rings, it’s waking up my 16 week old baby. I’m definitely going to block this number for good.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carephone Warehouse, offering me an upgrade to a Note 20 Ultra at the same price as my unlimited data plan. Then out of nowhere, they said I needed to pay £50 upfront, which I'd supposedly get back after 14 days. That’s when I knew something was off. Normally, phone charges appear on your bill, not as an upfront fee that magically gets refunded later. Clearly, they just wanted my bank details. I told them I’d think about it and get back to them. They tried to insist I write down their number, even threw out a London head office number, which I warned I could easily find online, but they insisted it was different due to there being more than one head office. They sounded desperate when I said I’d need two days to decide. The guy then said he’d ring back in an hour, but I told him I was tied up and with Shabbat coming, Sunday would be better. That set him off, and he tried hard to push me again, so I ended the call. Later on, he called from about six different numbers, all starting the same but ending in 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8. I ignored every single one. He lost me when he mentioned the refund... I just enjoyed messing with him a bit.

Seems like spam to me - I couldn’t catch a single word he said. When I asked what number he was calling from, he just started mumbling and then randomly mentioned something about the “mobile phone you using?” Would assume if it’s a proper company trying to sell me a phone contract, the person would really make an effort to speak clearly, accent aside. This bloke didn’t seem to be speaking proper English at all.
