Similar experience here! The caller inquired whether I was over fifty. When I requested him to repeat my name, he just regurgitated his pre-prepared spiel. After that, he simply hung up after saying goodbye. Quite odd, really!

Got a call from someone named John claiming he was from a medical company. He said something like “according to our info” I could get a free medical alarm. When I asked how he got my number, he said there was no record of that and just said thanks and hung up. Oh, and we’re on the TPS list, so not sure how they got through.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with a medical bracelet company based somewhere in Dorset, said they serve all across the UK. They wanted to check if I was above a certain age. I asked if they knew exactly who they were after in my home, and then they just got all flustered and ended up hanging up on me.

Got a call from this medical alert guy trying to give me a free pendant. Didn’t have a clue how he found my number though. He just kept asking questions that only needed a yes or no answer. It was kind of funny but also a bit irritating.

A quick search for "Medical Alert Monitoring Centre Dorset" unveiled numerous warnings about potential scams linked to this organisation. To further investigate, I dialled 01970607738, where I was greeted with a recorded message asserting that I had contacted Philitastica Alert Services. I was then prompted to press 2 to speak with an actual representative. Upon connecting, a woman introduced herself as an employee of the Philitastica Market Research Centre. However, she adamantly refused to disclose any information about her company, including their registered office address or any additional specifics. Delving deeper, I discovered that Philitastica operates out of the Philippines and engages in marketing calls on behalf of various entities. Their so-called live chat service appears to be unmanned, suggesting that this could very well be yet another ploy to harvest email addresses for spam purposes. Given that this website indicates that the number is affiliated with Gamma Telecom Holdings, it may be worthwhile to inundate them with complaints regarding the harassment of these calls, as it could yield more fruitful results.
