Got a call on my landline, and it was marked as TPS protected. There was background noise like someone was there, but no one actually said a word. I just ended the call.

Got a call earlier from a bloke claiming he was with Medical Alert. He said I could try out one of their alarm pendants free for two weeks, then it would be 95p a day after that. Straight away, he started asking for my bank info. I told him I didn’t have that on hand and that a mate manages my money, so maybe he could ring back tomorrow. Felt really dodgy that he wanted my bank details before I’d even said yes to the trial.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with Medical Alert, offering a complimentary two-week trial for an emergency alarm pendant. He requested my bank details and mentioned a charge of 95 pence daily once the trial ended. I informed him that I couldn't provide my banking information at the moment and suggested that he ring back tomorrow when I would have another person present to assist.

Got the answerphone, but no one left a message. Since we're registered with TPS, I'm guessing it's just another scam call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Medical Alert, saying I was eligible for a free alert pendant. When he asked for my date of birth, I told him I wasn’t going to share that kind of info and suggested he send me something by post instead. After that, he just hung up.

01970607739 rang a few times but I held off picking up knowing scammers often call back if unanswered. Eventually, the answering machine kicked on but the caller had already disconnected. No voicemail or anything. Pretty sure this was just a scam call.

Some bloke called saying he was with Medical Alert and that I could get a free disc. He asked if I was older than 50, but I didn’t reply and told him I’m hard of hearing and to send me info in writing instead. Then he just said have a nice day and ended the call. Seems fishy to me, probably a scam.

I was at my mum’s place when this number rang up. A really polite bloke on the line told me my mum could have a free personal alarm for falls and stuff. I mentioned she already had one and he quickly said sorry for the trouble and ended the call. Kinda makes me think what might’ve happened if I wasn’t around to answer.

Got a call from a landline number saying I qualified for a medical alert pendant based on their records. They asked if I was older than 50, which was odd since if they had my info, they’d know I’m nowhere near that age. Ended the call before they could say more. Honestly, if you want one of those alert pendants, reach out to social services instead of talking to random callers out of nowhere.

Received a call claiming I could get a medical alert device simply because I’m over 50. Oddly enough, they didn’t have a clue about my name, age, or any health conditions, so I wondered how they could make that determination. I politely explained that I had no need for such a device and promptly ended the conversation.

Some bloke rang me up saying he was calling from a Medical Alert firm in Dorset, but the number just didn’t match up with their area code. He went on about me qualifying for some sort of medical alert pendant. I couldn’t work out why he reckoned that, especially as I’m on the TPS list. Had to cut across his rehearsed spiel a few times to get that across, but I finally got him to stop.

Got a call from 01970607739 on 31 March 2022 about 2.50 pm. When I checked the voicemail, there was a bit of a message about a medical alert trial, but no name or number mentioned. Got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be with a medical alert company, saying I qualified for an alert pendant. They asked if I was older than 50, which I said I was. Then they wanted to know if I’d had any recent falls, I said no. They also asked what I’d do if I fell and couldn’t reach the phone. I told them I’d just use my mobile or shout out to a neighbour. After that, they said sorry for bothering me and ended the call. That was weird, normally these sales calls try to push on and I usually just play along to waste their time.

Got a call from some so-called medical alert centre, banging on about qualifying for one of those alert pendants. They kept asking if I’m over 60, if I’ve got any medical problems, use a walking stick or wheelchair, and sorta creepily, if I’ve had any falls or accidents in the past three years. Classic ambulance-chasing scam, totally ignoring the TPS register. Honestly, don’t waste your time with them, just hang up straight away.

Some guy called this morning at about 9.10 on the 31st of March 2022, saying he was giving out free medical pendants. He started asking if I was over 50, lived alone, or used a walking stick. I didn’t respond to anything. What he forgot to ask was if I wanted to get robbed or not! He said he got my number from “local groups” but couldn’t tell me which ones. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from a bloke claiming my hubby’s name was nominated for some kind of pendant. My husband wasn’t listening properly at first, so he didn’t ask for any details. this number’s latest trick is the dull old “home appliance insurance” scam, quite a change from the earlier stories about medical condition calls from them. looks like they’re trying to mix things up a bit. but seriously, how do they get hold of our personal info like names and phone numbers? seems like that’s the source of all this nonsense!

I received a call from someone identifying himself as Simon, representing a firm named "Back To Nature." It seems they're in the business of holidays catering specifically to naturists, mainly in Hertfordshire. He inquired whether I'd ever thought about going on such a holiday, either solo or with my family, and mentioned a tempting discount offer. While he was quite courteous in his approach, I ultimately decided to pass on the opportunity.

I received a telephone call from someone claiming to be with Medical Alert, suggesting that I might qualify for assistance. He proceeded to inquire if I was over the age of 50. I remarked that if it were a genuine call, he'd already have that information. He then continued to ask whether I required aids, like a walking stick. I firmly expressed my disbelief in the authenticity of the call, stated I would refuse to engage with his questions, and proceeded to hang up. Subsequently, I’ve blocked the number. It’s alarming how frequently these sorts of calls are coming in; even after blocking, they seem to circumvent my efforts by using different numbers. Just a word of caution to everyone!

Received a call regarding a medical alert pendant, they inquired if I was over 50. I replied in the negative. Then they asked if I used a walking stick or cane - again, I said no. When they probed about whether I had ever taken a tumble, I firmly stated no once more. They persisted, weaving tales of potential falls and not having access to a phone. I made it clear I wasn't interested, yet they persisted with their spiel. It wasn't until I'd reiterated my disinterest a couple of times that they finally hung up. It's worth noting that many folks nowadays have smart home assistants, allowing them to summon help just by speaking. If by chance they do reach an elderly or more vulnerable individual, there's a good chance they might exploit those fears.

It appears to be a real human, but in reality, it's just a pesky automated system offering you a range of selections based on how you reply. I inquired about the name of their business since I have zero interest in their medical alert devices, but they just reverted back to their initial script. I've now set my phone to block their number. It's rather frustrating that these kinds of nuisances still manage to operate with such impunity.
