Got a call earlier from a bloke claiming he was with Medical Alert. He said I could try out one of their alarm pendants free for two weeks, then it would be 95p a day after that. Straight away, he started asking for my bank info. I told him I didn’t have that on hand and that a mate manages my money, so maybe he could ring back tomorrow. Felt really dodgy that he wanted my bank details before I’d even said yes to the trial.

But I guess if they contacted an older or more vulnerable person, the scare tactics might actually work on them.
