Felt really dodgy that he wanted my bank details before I’d even said yes to the trial.

It's worth noting that many folks nowadays have smart home assistants, allowing them to summon help just by speaking. If by chance they do reach an elderly or more vulnerable individual, there's a good chance they might exploit those fears.

I inquired about the name of their business since I have zero interest in their medical alert devices, but they just reverted back to their initial script. I've now set my phone to block their number. It's rather frustrating that these kinds of nuisances still manage to operate with such impunity.
