It struck me quite profoundly that if I were of a more elderly disposition or perhaps not as savvy, they might have easily coerced me into committing to something I had no intention of pursuing. They even launched into a spiel about what I should do if I took a tumble and couldn't summon assistance, bringing up the ‘golden hour’ notion as a scare tactic. It’s truly disheartening to see such tactics being used against those who might be more susceptible!

The caller went on to leave a message urging me to return the call. Not a chance! I’ve seen enough scam calls to know better. I've gone ahead and reported the number.
