I received a call from this number, touting a deal for reduced boiler cover. It raised my suspicions as I suspect it might be a scam, so I decided to hang up.

Received a rather dubious call regarding some medical alert service. The chap was quite cagey when I asked how he'd obtained my number. It’s obvious this is nothing but a scam.

Had a rather odd phone call today from someone claiming I was eligible for a medical alert pendant. They queried whether I was over 50, to which I replied in the affirmative. Then they proceeded to ask if I used a walking stick. That was my cue to end the conversation; far too many probing questions for my liking. It all seemed rather dodgy if you ask me.

I didn’t pick up since the town doesn’t ring any bells for me. I did spend some time in Dyfed three decades back, though, chuckle. My intuition seems to be spot on today! However, it’s baffling that the authorities aren’t taking more stringent action against these calls as they promised they would. It’s starting to feel quite ridiculous, isn’t it?

I received a rather unexpected phone call today, during which I was informed that I was listed on some sort of alert and supposedly qualified for a complimentary medical device. The caller asked an array of questions concerning my health and mobility, yet conveniently chose to overlook my inquiries. I decided to end the conversation as I realised I had as much need for their offer as the caller had for a cup of tea in the Sahara. It struck me quite profoundly that if I were of a more elderly disposition or perhaps not as savvy, they might have easily coerced me into committing to something I had no intention of pursuing. They even launched into a spiel about what I should do if I took a tumble and couldn't summon assistance, bringing up the ‘golden hour’ notion as a scare tactic. It’s truly disheartening to see such tactics being used against those who might be more susceptible!

This fellow claimed I qualified for a medical alert system and then proceeded to ask for my age. I quipped back that if he had such insight into my life, he ought to already have that information. Then, quite abruptly, he ended the call!

I received a call from someone claiming I was eligible for a medical alert pendant. They began by asking if I was over 50 and then probed into my health situation. I cut in, asking, 'Who do you think you're talking to, exactly?' To which he responded, 'Alright then, no worries, have a pleasant day,' and hung up just as I was about to say, 'I reckon you're a scam artist.' Looking back, perhaps I ought to have said something like, 'You've reached the Fraud Squad at West Mercia Police – who do you wish to speak to?' 😊

I've discovered that the number 0197060 is linked to Gemma Telecom Holdings Ltd. Recently, I received a dodgy call from 01970607737 – turns out it was also connected to Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd. The caller went on to leave a message urging me to return the call. Not a chance! I’ve seen enough scam calls to know better. I've gone ahead and reported the number.

A medical firm just called me moments ago; they were trying to promote some sort of alert pendant. I mentioned that I wasn’t in the market for it, and without a second thought, the chap on the other end simply said ‘alright, bye’ and ended the call. Quite abrupt, really!

They mentioned I could potentially qualify for a complimentary medical alert pendant. After probing into my health with a few questions—ones that clearly disqualified me from any real eligibility—they swiftly transitioned into an aggressive sales pitch. I decided enough was enough and ended the call.

I received a call concerning a medical alert bracelet (or necklace), inquiring about my age. It’s worth noting that this caller reached out to me on a private number, which is not listed publicly, as well as a number registered with the Telephone Preference Service—things like this are illegal, aren't they?

I received a call from someone claiming I was eligible for a complimentary medical pendant. They attempted to ask me questions but continuously interrupted me. I don't bother picking up calls on my landline anymore. I can't think of anyone in my circle who would use that number, so it’s probably just another pesky sales call trying their luck.

Received a call from someone purporting to be associated with my boiler and heating cover provider. They kept bringing up my 'policy,' though I can't recall them specifying which company they represented. I was a bit taken aback since it’s odd that they'd be operating out of Aberystwyth.

Received a call purporting to be from the company handling my boiler and heating services. They droned on about my “policy,” which is a bit odd as I do indeed have coverage, yet they failed to reference the specifics of my actual provider. It caught me off guard, especially since I wouldn’t have thought they operated from Aberystwyth of all places!

Received a dodgy call regarding a medical alert badge. It's clearly a scam, as they're asking personal questions that they should already have the answers to if it were legitimate. The caller claims to be from Dorset, yet the number is actually from Wales! Don’t fall for it—it's a total scam!

My wife picked up the call, and the chap on the other end mentioned that he was directed by health professionals to speak with her about a "pendant" for vulnerable adults. She promptly informed him that she had both a husband and a son who look after her well. That was the last we heard from him.

Like quite a few others here, I received a rather suspicious call from a chap named John, who claimed that I qualified for complimentary medical assistance, provided I was over the age of 50. I didn't waste any time and hung up promptly. I totally concur—this is just another scam call lurking about.

I received a rather peculiar call suggesting I could get a medical alert pendant. The chap on the other end inquired if I was past the half-century mark and relied on a cane or walker, which struck me as odd. When I probed him further about how he had come by my details, he became rather evasive and wouldn’t clarify whether it was linked to the NHS. He then mentioned I could rent this pendant for a mere 99p daily. I politely declined and ended the conversation, feeling quite unsettled by the whole exchange.

I received a call from this number but I tend to be cautious and don’t pick up unless I hear a voice on the other end. I usually wait to hit the talk button if it’s someone I recognise or have been anticipating a call from. In this instance, though, there was silence and no message was left before they just disconnected the call.
