Honestly, just hang up, don’t bother arguing with these lot. This caller kept saying my energy deal with Eon isn’t valid unless I sign something, which is rubbish. She claimed Eon raised their prices without telling anyone and tried to get me to switch. Total nonsense though, because everything on the tariff is clear and the rates per Kw are actually lower than what I paid the past couple of years.

Got a robo call saying my National Insurance was involved in fraud and I'd be arrested if I didn't ring back straight away. Rang back a couple of times but just dead air, no one picked up. Proper scammers, like most folks in the UK, I’m PAYE! Total muppets. Blocked now.

I received a phone call from a woman with an Indian accent who introduced herself as "Amy". These scam callers are so rude and clueless, I told them they were doing something illegal by ringing me and they just got angry and started yelling. Better block this number, it’s not safe at all.

Just got a call from a lady named Kay, sounded like she had a thick Indian accent. She was asking me about my life insurance policy, which is odd because I don’t have one! I told her I’m single, in my fifties, and don’t have anyone relying on me. Then she goes and says, "Well Sir, with all the corona virus problems, you might want to think about it." It’s shocking to see scammers trying to take advantage of the whole Covid situation to trick people.

She was asking if I had enough life insurance and if it was good enough. I asked her who she was and which company she worked for, and she just said, “for heaven’s sake.” I didn’t bother with her any more and told her off.

Got a call from a noisy call centre in Runcorn. The woman said she was ringing about my Legal and General life insurance (which I don’t actually have!) and if it met my needs. I asked her for my policy number, but she told me she couldn’t share that due to data protection! I probed more and she said she worked for several insurers, including Aviva. I hung up and plan to report the number to L & G. I’d say this is risky, especially as older or more vulnerable folks might get tricked.

Got a call from a South African woman claiming she worked for some financial company tryin to sell me life insurance. Told her flat out I wasn't interest and asked her to take me off their list. She kept going on about me possibly owing money or something like that. I kept saying no thanks, not interested, but she just wouldn’t stop.
