Got a call from this number about my life insurance. I told them three times I wasn't interested and asked to be taken off their call list, but the bloke just kept ignoring me and kept going. When I asked to talk to his manager, he said they were busy in a meeting and that their supervisor wasn’t available. He clearly didn’t like me questioning the call and just kept pushing anyway.

Got another annoying call from someone saying they were with an insurance firm! The bloke kept saying Aviva insurance and something about my account, but I don’t have any account with them nor have I ever visited their site. He talked way too quickly and his English was pretty hard to follow! Feels like I’m having to block loads of numbers recently.

Im not really fussed about the number I checked but what really upset me were the racist comments aimed at Asian and black people left by some1 or maybe two ppl in the comments from 21/11/20. Those remarks really should be looked at closely coz its seriously offensive and could even be hate crime. Havnt come across language like that in ages and its shocking. Im not Asian myself but can only imagine how awful it is for Asian or African Caribbean folks to read that. Whoever wrote those needs a serious lesson on respect.

Cheers, blocked and removed the number - if I don’t know the number I just don’t pick up. If it’s really important they’ll leave a voicemail, if not then no worries. Most people save numbers in their phones anyway, and for everything else folks usually just google it!

I phoned the number back and a young woman called Amy picked up, claiming she works for a Life Insurance firm. They already have your details saved so your number lets them ID you when you return their call. Just another dodgy scam outfit, really.
