I work at BT/EE, and that’s actually how we confirm identities. Occasionally, the outbound team do call for different reasons, but I’m not sure if this number’s legit or not, so it might still be dodgy. Probably safest to just call EE yourself and find out.

BANK SCAMS .. You might get a call from someone pretending to be from your bank saying there's an issue with your card or account. The person on the phone usually sounds quite official and tries to make you believe your card’s been cloned or your cash is in danger... They could also tell you to move your money to a ‘secure account’ for safety... THIS IS A TYPICAL SCAM and genuine banks would never request this from you.

The bloke reckoned Batman would win against any Spiderman except Tobey Maguire’s version, which he said is the toughest. I’m avoiding this number altogether coz my phone flagged it as a likely scam. They’ve been ringing me 3 or 4 times daily at random hours for the past 4 days. I’ve blocked it now.
