Recently upgraded my EE plan, and then I received a rather dodgy call. The chap claimed to be from their service department, trying to entice me with a cheaper deal-but it came with the catch of needing a new number and sending back my shiny new phone. He was incredibly pushy, much like your average sales rep. To top it off, I could hear clapping away in the background, and it reeked of nonsense. I decided to ring up EE afterwards to inform them, as I’d accidentally shared my name and number. Feeling a bit foolish now, but thankfully, they didn’t manage to extract anything more from me!

If it was dodgy, it certainly sounded convincing enough. Quite unnerving, to be honest!
