I've received two phone calls from this number, each dragging on for roughly 45 minutes, and we’re still nowhere near getting my BT account switched over to EE. I was bombarded with endless pages of convoluted "Terms and Conditions" and now apparently, an engineer must pop round to my house and start drilling holes, despite the fact that I transitioned to BT Digital Voice a couple of months back and had a new router fitted by BT themselves. Then, the kicker - he asked for my bank account details. I pointed out that BT already has that information, so if he has access to my account, it should be on file. Was I keen to have a word with his manager? Not at all, it's his responsibility. The whole situation feels more suspect than a dodgy fish market!

I just got a call claiming to be from BT, saying they’re switching my broadband over to EE because BT will be business-only now. I asked for something in writing since I’ve had loads of outages before. They said they still needed to explain everything over the phone. I told them I wasn’t comfortable with that. Then they just thanked me and hung up. What’s odd is the number showed up, but then kept switching to unavailable. I’m on a 2-year contract through EE that started less than a year ago, so it all feels a bit fishy.

Somebody rang claiming to be from BT, telling me about some merger with EE and trying to sell a deal since I’m a BT customer. I told them I’m ex-directory and don’t like sorting stuff out on the phone, asked them to email me instead. Got a call monday from someone saying ee and BT are now linked and wanted to chat about some "offers". They asked if i could confirm the last few digits of my mobile which i did, then said they’d send me a text to verify further. I told them i don’t deal with random cold calls and asked them to send information in writing if they’re legit since they should already have my details. They pushed me to cooperate but i firmly said no and told them their approach felt really pushy. Ended the call and never got any text, so no clue if they actually have my full number.
