Watch out for the numbers listed below. I've been repeatedly harassed by some really pushy callers from India. They got quite threatening when I didn’t answer them. When I asked how they got my personal details, they just kept being rude. These people are really nasty. I got a call from an quite pushy Indian guy from this number 01744 399560. Also, I keep getting rude calls from other Indian or Muslim voices who act like they already know my name and number, like from 0753 718 2087, calling me really late around 11:30pm. Another number is 0777 858 6351. It’s been pretty annoying so I reported everything to the police to make sure they are aware.

But then, quite unexpectedly, he switched gears and started asking me if my conservatory gets sweltering during the summer and chilly in the winter! Quite the conversation shift, wouldn’t you say?

They said they were from the Motor Assist Department and claimed I’d reported a car accident after renewing my insurance, which is not true. When I asked where they got their details from - like which car or policy - they couldn’t give me any info. The bloke just kept pushing about injuries and what I could claim for. I told him to delete my number and mentioned he was breaching data protection rules. Then he just hung up. How do these firms get away with this? It’s absolutely awful.

Got a call sayin there was a payment owed for an accident that some other person supposedly took the blame for. When I asked how they planned to send the cash, they said a cheque. They read out my address but said they wouldn’t send anything till I confirmed the date. I asked him to explain how the whole scam was meant to work and he got really annoyed. I kept pressing him on it, like “if I give you the date, what do you gain? How’s this scam meant to work?” After winding him up a bit, I said the accident was just yesterday, then he suddenly hung up.

Got a call from someone saying they were with a firm called "Motor - ss" claiming they wanted to talk about a car accident I was involved in. Problem is, I don’t even own a car. I ended the call while the guy kept trying to push me into admitting I did. The number showed up as being from St Helens, UK. Best thing is to just block them.

Got a call like many others have mentioned. A lady with a South African accent said she was from the Motor Insurance Bureau asking about my car insurance, some accident that apparently wasn’t my fault, and said I’m due £3000 compensation. I told her I work quite closely with the MIB for work and they’d know about any claims, plus they don’t handle compensations, then she just hung up on me.

They claimed to be from an insurance firm regarding a crash I was supposedly involved in. I told them it couldn’t be me since I don’t drive and don’t have a licence at all. Then they switched to saying it was a car I was a passenger in - yeah right, not happening. Next, they suggested maybe a relative had an accident recently. Nah, why on earth would any of my family give out my phone number? Such a rubbish attempt.

It really blows my mind how these scammers manage to sleep at night, when they’re spending all day long phoning folks just to cheat them out of their cash! The caller had my name and claimed to be ringing about an accident I supposedly had last year. I told the lady I was on the telephone preference service and she asked me what that was. I explained it was supposed to prevent calls like hers, but she just said that’s not how it works because she had just called me anyway. I got a call from 'OT Insurance Investigations' about an alleged accident with my previous car and some insurance claim linked to my last renewal. I sold that car last year and never filed any claim, plus I’ve no clue if someone else did. The bloke asked if there were any other drivers on the policy, already had my name and address, then said that was everything. Bit alarming, honestly.
