Initially, I found the call quite convincing. A chap named David, who sounded Asian, inquired about my thoughts on the Coronavirus vaccines. Then, he pivoted to discussing private healthcare options. That’s when it dawned on me that this was merely a sales pitch, so I decided to hang up. He was rather polite and respectful, mind you. The call originated from Newbury and he was dialling in to Bristol.

I got a call from this number saying they were from Citizens Advice and that they’d received my number from my creditors - which is totally not true as I don’t owe anyone. The lady on the line had a strong Indian accent and was really quite rude.

Got a call from someone asking if I wanted a COVID vaccine, but it turned out to be a total scam. When I told them off for ripping people off, they actually ended up swearing at me! Such cheeky behaviour.

Got a call the other day claiming to be from a Covid-19 testing centre. The person had an Indian accent and started by asking if I was vaccinated, which I am. Then they asked if I was showing any symptoms. After that, they oddly wanted to know if I had life insurance. I told them straight away I was recording the conversation and made it clear I didn’t consent to my info being used for any marketing or unwanted calls. I also demanded they delete my details under GDPR and data protection laws and warned them I’d report it if they misused my data.
