At first, I genuinely believed the call was legit. A guy named David, who sounded Asian, asked me about how I felt after having the coronavirus jab. Then he suddenly switched to chatting about private healthcare options. That’s when I twigged it was just a sales pitch and quickly hung up. He did sound quite polite though. The number showed up as from Newbury, but he was calling me in Bristol.

I got a call from this number saying they were from Citizens Advice and that they’d received my number from my creditors - which is totally not true as I don’t owe anyone. The lady on the line had a strong Indian accent and was really quite rude.

Got a call from someone asking if I wanted a COVID vaccine, but it turned out to be a total scam. When I told them off for ripping people off, they actually ended up swearing at me! Such cheeky behaviour.

Got a call the other day claiming to be from a Covid-19 testing centre. The person had an Indian accent and started by asking if I was vaccinated, which I am. Then they asked if I was showing any symptoms. After that, they oddly wanted to know if I had life insurance. I told them straight away I was recording the conversation and made it clear I didn’t consent to my info being used for any marketing or unwanted calls. I also demanded they delete my details under GDPR and data protection laws and warned them I’d report it if they misused my data.
