Got a call from a Welsh call centre about PPI - it went straight to voicemail. The bloke left a brief message and then it switched over to some John Cleese sounding recorded voicemail saying something like 'I mentioned I might have a PPI claim', which is why they’re ringing. I definitely haven’t - so I’ve blocked the number.

I've had enough of getting bothered by these lot, called me four bloody times this afternoon! These call centres should honestly be closed down, they’re just messing with your privacy and being a pain. I never pick up if I don’t know the number, so it’s a mystery why they keep ringing non-stop. The TPS seems to do absolutely nothing, even though I signed up ages ago, the calls haven’t eased up one bit, despite all my complaints. Anyone know of any way to block a landline besides just taking it off the hook? I’m seriously thinking about it but I’ve got elderly folks at home so I can’t really do that.

My brother got a call while he was at my flat, and he handed me his phone to deal with it. The woman on the other end insisted I was his missus, even after I told her I was actually his sister. When I mentioned that Mrs **** had passed away, she suddenly said sorry. She claimed she’d got his number from some company because of a form he supposedly filled out, but that’s rubbish since I’m the one who does all his paperwork. I called her out on being a scammer along with her mates, but she denied everything. I kept insisting she was up to no good and she kept saying no. I let her chat to waste her airtime on a mobile number. In the end, I told her to take his number off their list and warned her that next time I’d be reporting her to New Scotland Yard. She didn’t like that one bit and kept saying they hadn’t done anything wrong. What a load of rubbish!
