Got a call from We Fight Any Claim about PPI stuff. They kept mentioning John Cleese which was a bit odd. The woman on the phone did have a pretty clear English accent though. Don’t reckon they’re scammers, just trying to drum up some business really.

They said it was about PPI claims. I told the lady I’m on the TPS list. She said they don’t call anyone on that list unless they’ve shared their number themselves in some survey!! I said I 'never' take part in surveys. She kept saying I must have. I’m sure I haven’t, so I just ended the call.

Got a call on my phone on 3rd May, they seemed to know my name but needed to confirm how it was spelled and asked for my middle name and date of birth as well! I said I wasn’t interested, they kept going on about how they could put a stop to all those PPI nuisance calls I’ve been getting. Also, they somehow brought up John Cleese being in their adverts? Bit weird if you ask me. Definitely blocking that number from now on.

Got calls from the exact same spot, number was almost identical except last two digits changed. They called me like 3 times, I just blocked them every single time.

Received a call regarding a PPI claim. Naturally, I was quite curious as to how they managed to get hold of my number, especially since I'm registered with the TPS, my details are ex-directory, and I'm not on the local council's "for sale" list. The woman on the line was polite and claimed that I had participated in a survey, even providing the date and the name of the firm that supposedly conducted it. I found this hard to believe, as I never engage in phone surveys. These sorts of companies really ought to be dealt with!

Received four calls from this number today. The last one I figured might be significant, so I picked up. They claimed I'd filled out an online survey, but when I pushed back, their excuse was that it was my wife who shared my number with them. Absolute nonsense! My wife is well aware that my mobile number is closely guarded, meant for just a handful of people. I find it utterly appalling that a call came through for my elderly dad, inquiring about a gentleman who shares his surname. It was nothing more than a ploy to engage him in conversation, which quickly escalated into a pressure tactic to persuade him to sign up for some PPI claim. Completely unacceptable!

I received a call from a claims company, claiming that I had consented to be contacted after filling out a survey. This is simply not the case, as I've never participated in any surveys nor would I ever authorise a call from a claims company. It's utterly ridiculous!
