I really hope this PPI call centre is legit and not just trying to scam people who are honestly just trying to get back what they deserve. Loads of folks out there have been ruined by banks and lenders, ending up bankrupt or blacklisted, making it so hard to get things like car insurance or a mobile phone contract. I've been through the struggle myself, had to fight for years, and was made redundant twice without asking for it. It’s not a great feeling, feels like you’re being treated like a criminal or someone society wants to push aside.

Got a call from some PPI claims place, they kept asking a bunch of questions to check if I was owed any money. I told him I’d already know if that was the case but he just didn't get it and went on and on. Eventually, I had to say he was annoying me and that he should just stop calling. He said sorry and actually hung up after that.

I've absolutely no idea who TJ might be. I went ahead and reported them for their abusive language. When you come across a number that gives you the willies and makes you suspect it’s a dodgy premium-rate line, why not take a wee risk and spend 40 pence to find out? Just grab that 40p, head to your nearest payphone, and give the number a bell. If the payphone starts rattling for more dosh as soon as you dial, then there you have it - you’ve cracked the mystery!

This morning at precisely 09:46 on the 3rd of November 2016, I was startled by an unsolicited call from a chap with a distinctly foreign accent. He launched into a spiel about his ability to assist with PPI claims. When I explained that I had never found myself in a situation requiring a PPI claim, he stubbornly insisted that he could offer me help. So, after politely requesting him to leave me be, I ended the conversation. Despite being registered with the TPS, it seems utterly ineffective against these intrusive calls, as I seem to receive around four or five of them daily.

I had a similar experience! My phone rang, but when I looked, it was an unfamiliar number. I suspect it’s related to loans or similar services, as I’ve heard that the same folks might use the number 01633702000 to get in touch.
