Got this number on my BT callblocker, never answering. They rang me about six times this week, mostly on Tuesday - all of which were blocked straight away. Feels like some kind of auto dial machine or robocall. I’ll keep wiping out the blocked alerts as they come through.

On Tuesday, they rang me seven times, and since then, it’s been about three to five calls daily. I picked up once and got a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from some telephone protection service. I told him straight I wasn’t interesed and that I knew why they kept calling anyway. Yet, by 10:15 this morning, they’d already called twice again. Had a run in with these annoying calls a few months back too. Proper nuisance!

The number looks like it’s from the UK, but it shows up as an international call on my phone. I've ignored it and let it go to voicemail, but there’s been no message left. This has happened twice in just a couple of days now.

Got a call the last two days from someone saying they were Microsoft. They claimed my computer had some risky issues that could damage it. They wanted me to switch on my computer, but I didn’t feel comfortable so said no. When I asked why I should trust them, they said I was already paying for a service. I then asked for my name as proof they were speaking to the right person, but they had it completely wrong. I ended the call and they kept ringing back about four more times.

Over the past couple of days, I've gotten two calls where the number showed up as "international," though it looked like a UK one. I decided not to pick up because it seemed fishy and just let it go to voicemail, but neither call actually left a message.

I picked up the phone but there was no one on the other side. Then I heard ringing, like someone else was calling, so I just ended the call and decided to block the number.

This number has been ringing me non stop all day (02 Jan 2018) - total scam, so don’t pick up or answer. If you’ve got BT Call Protect, use it to block them for free, and definitely report it here as well. They’re seriously annoying and the only way to get some peace is to keep flagging them. My phone rings like three times a day from the same number, I keep blocking it but they never give up. Now it only rings once and then shuts off. I bought my phone from Argos and it seems to help ‘cause it’s a bit of a smart phone with call blocking. Honestly, anyone dealing with the same hassle should get one if they want to be left alone.

They called me at about 6.10pm, and the only previous suspicious call I had was from a 0161 number last year, so Im quite suspicious about them. They say they're from the TPS but that seemed dodgy to me, especially since the person on the line had an Asian accent. I told them I'd ring back later, but I use an IDect phone so not sure how to block the number. Ive already reported it to Action Fraud and also complained to the TPS.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with “Telephone Preference Management” (not the usual TPS). Didn't sound very clear or confident. Couldn't properly explain what the call was about either. Ended up just blocking the number straight away!!!

Got a call from this number earlier tonight but no one said a word. I’ve had a few calls like this throughout the day but forgot to write the numbers down. It’s familiar - it usually starts with silent calls, then they pretend to be from TPS, BT or some other legit company to try and con you. Pretty sure my number’s legit so I’m expecting the scam attempt soon. Honestly, this number should be blocked - it’s clearly being used for dodgy stuff.

This number rings me every day. I picked up today and the person on the line said they were from some nuisance call blocking service. Then they asked for my address and the expiry of my bank card. I told them I wasn’t giving out any details and we went back and forth for a while. The guy sounded Indian, like he was working in a call centre, and tried really hard to convince me. Eventually, I just ended the call.

Had another ring today but the number showed ending in 170, the last one was 1721. Same deal, Indian caller claiming to be from TPS (pure nonsense). The first time, I blew a whistle to get rid of them. This time, just told them to piss off since they don’t seem to care about anything else. If they keep pestering, the football whistle’s coming out again. Why doesn’t Ofcom do what they’re supposed to and cut off these fraudsters?

I got a call saying my TPS was expiring on 01/03/2018 and that I needed to renew my contract, then someone would get in touch to sort it out. When I asked who would cover the costs, the call ended straight away. Seems like they reckon everyone’s daft, just like the folks behind these scams. Honestly, this is all on the government - they could easily put a stop to it if they actually cared.

Got a call from this number earlier, some foreign guy claiming to check if I’d signed up for a cold caller block. Knew my exact name and address, which was a bit creepy. He kept pressing me to give the expiry date on one of my cards, but I wouldn’t give it. After saying no several times, he just told me to get lost. Honestly, felt like a sketchy and unsafe caller.

Got a call two times in a row over two days from a woman with an Asian accent. There was a weird pause before she started talking. She claimed to be from some kind of call blocking company and even knew my first name. Thing is, I’ve never signed up with them and no clue who they are. Around 11:55 this morning on 2nd January 2018, I got a call from a Manchester number. After a long silence, a man with an Asian accent asked if I was *******. I kindly told him he must have got the wrong number and then ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

Keep getting calls back to back, and when I answer there's this weird pause like a robot or something on the other end.
