Got a call earlier today - the line was dead quiet and then it just hung up. I did connect to some free Wi-Fi in a busy spot, but only for a short while, so maybe that's how they found me. Anyway, after seeing what others have said about this number, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it on my phone.

I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up. I don’t usually answer calls from unknown numbers. Seems like it’s probably some kind of scam.

Some woman said it was my "Lucky day" and that she "worked for O2" - I knew that was rubbish so I just pretended to cough and ended the call. Not long ago I was at an NHS clinic getting checked and used their free WiFi; creepy enough, that same number rang me less than 5 minutes after I joined the network so I got really spooked and didn’t answer. But today, for some reason, I actually picked up when they called again, lol.

I got a call from this number too, and the only WiFi I’ve been on recently that's not mine was the NHS one at the hospital nearby, so it left me puzzled. They keep ringing me every now and then but I usually just leave it or decline the call.

Bit dodgy, got a call like that while I was at work today. I chose not to answer and waited for the voicemail. It was some bloke with an Indian accent mumbling something in a foreign language before hanging up. If they seem to know your name, it might be from your pre-recorded voicemail message that kicks in when you don’t pick up. Best to check if your name’s in there. Don’t worry too much, it’s just amateurs trying to scam you into handing over cash or your account details. Just tell ‘em to f### off and hang up if you have to :)

This call is definitely from a scammer. Be super careful if you're using McDonald's wifi. They seem to have got my details from there and tried to get me to switch from O2. I’m gonna report it to the shop. Just block the number and don’t share anything with them.

From what I gathered, this bloke rang me and somehow knew my name, then started talking about something to do with 0². I thought, "why not just send a text if it’s legit?" so I ended the call. It felt dodgy straight away when he asked if I was (my name), so I just said "yeah" but all the warning bells were going off. He mentioned some kind of deal or offer and that’s when I decided to cut it off. Honestly, this was the first time I’ve ever had a scam call and I’m only 13, so I was proper scared. Seriously, don’t answer or share any details.

Vodafone’s call centres in India got hacked and my info got sold to some dodgy lads in Birmingham - all with thick Asian accents - saying they have this amazing “one time offer with another company”. They were oddly clear on how much they knew about me. Tried telling Vodafone and the cops, but they didn’t seem bothered at all. Almost managed to get the bloke to spill his address. Guess it saved me a trip and stopped him getting a smack!

Got a call from someone pushing an O2 deal. They actually knew my proper name and all, but I told him I wasn’t interested and that I'd look up their deals online or visit a shop if I wanted. I've come across a fraudster posing as someone from O2. They’re likely to request your card information. Beware!

These calls usually come from scammers based in Asia. They claim to have a special offer with O2. Then they ask for your card details to ‘sign you up’ for O2. Once they have your bank info, they use it to commit all sorts of fraud. I got caught out by this a few months back. Honestly, if you get an unexpected call from someone with an Asian accent, it’s probably a scam.
