Someone rang me claiming to be from the council’s disrepair dept. I hung up straight away, but he called back sounding quite pushy, so I ended the call again. When I asked him what info he had on me and where he got it from, he just stuck to his script and didn’t reply properly. He said he was from Liverpool but his accent definitely didn’t sound like it.

Got a call from 1218 on 17/07/20. I picked up and said "Hello, who’s this please?" and all I heard was some weird screeching noise before they hung up. Proper rude if you ask me.

Got a call from 0151 438 6653 at 4.09 pm, second time this week from a similar 0151 438 xxxx number. Didn’t pick up, just let it ring out. Going to block it now and see if another one rings soon.

Got a call from this number on Tuesday arvo. I didn’t pick up. They charge you by the second - total scam. Best not to answer, just let it ring out and then block it. The number shows up as Liverpool. Really dodgy stuff. Block it as soon as you see it pop up. You can report the number online, just type it in and a report form appears at the bottom of the page. Watch out, these people are trying to scam ya.

Got a cold call on me mobile from somewhere in Liverpool, number looked like 0151438079627. I’m not a fan of these random calls, Sky blocks them on my home phone but I wish there was a way to block them on my mobile too. I do block the numbers when they show up but when you’re waiting for something important, you end up pickin’ up just in case it’s that call. Proper frustrating!!!!

Got a call from some place called AAC, said it was about an accident I’d been in. They actually knew my name or something. Told them to shove off straight away.

So they claimed I was in a crash and had my car fixed, complete rubbish! I told them I don’t even own a car, and she said sorry and promised to remove my details from their records.

I got a call from some company named AAC claiming they needed to discuss damage to my car. Problem is, my car’s perfectly fine with no damage at all. The call sounded kinda robotic after that. I just laughed like, yeah right, I’m not buying it. Then the person on the other end started getting all awkward, calling me rude and a horrible person, going off for about 10 seconds before I just cut the call!

I picked up and the bloke who rang said my policy's expired. I asked, "policy for what?" but he didn’t say anything back. So I asked again and then there was just dead silence. Bit strange that call.

They told me they heard I was in a car accident that wasn’t my fault, which sounded dodgy. This is definitely a scam, best to block them straight away. I just ended the call. If more people report these calls, they’ll probably stop ringing so much.

The caller, with an Indian accent, spoke so fast that I couldn’t make out the company’s name, just caught the word “accident.” He was saying I could claim money for an accident I’ve never had. I told him straight away to take my details off their list because I don’t want these calls. He just responded, “Why would I remove your info?” Absolutely ridiculous.

Somebody called me saying I’d been in an accident. The first call came from 0151 438 6649 and when I told them to stop calling, I still got another from a slightly different number, 0151 438 6653. I warned them I’d do something about it if they rang again. Then some woman on the phone was really rude and even laughed, saying "I’ve only called you once." It’s obvious these people have no idea what they’re doing and probably just drag anyone off the streets to run this scam.

i usually just say yeah, i had a crash that wasn’t my fault, there was this really tight corner i didn’t take properly, so tight it cut my head off. then i say i’m trying to claim for surgery to get my head put back on a new, fitter body since the old one was getting kinda saggy. not shockingly, they just hang up straight away.
