So, I had this chap named Michael reach out to me, a rather quintessentially British name, yet his accent was anything but traditional! He claimed to be from some sort of housing repair service, inquiring if I had any broken doors, windows or the likes of damp issues at my council or housing association residence. I decided to have a bit of fun for a moment or two, before throwing him a curveball by questioning where he had sourced my number. I made it clear that if he couldn't assist in removing my details, then how could he possibly address any concerns with my abode? I informed him that this was my second request for the removal of my information, citing my rights under GDPR, and warned him that should he persist, I'd have no choice but to involve the authorities. He kept at it, banging on about property repairs, to which I pointed out that I've never set foot in a council or housing association property! Credit where it’s due-he didn’t give up and attempted to pivot to private tenancy, to which I cheekily responded that I was the proud owner of 15 properties. I reiterated my demands for him to take me off his list. Honestly, the audacity! He certainly tried, but I wasn’t in the mood for his games. Blocked him swiftly!

Last week I got a call saying I was behind on payments for my washing machine and they’d take it back. Total scam, as my machine is 15 years old and fully paid off. I knew it was dodgy straight away, so I kept them chatting for about 16 minutes, trying to get their phone number. Don’t trust them, they’re definitely trying to scam you. When I told her I wasn’t sharing any personal info, she just hung up on me. Bet she’s already moved on to fool someone else by now. Definitely block this number!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the council about some repairs that hadn't been sorted. When I asked which council they said London UK. They then went on about how I could get compensation for the missed repairs. I told them it sounded like a scam, but they kept arguing. Hung up on them. And guess what? They called me back two more times just to hassle me. Proper annoying!
