Absolutely dodgy! They rang up pretending to enquire if I wanted to wrap up some sort of motor accident claim - which is a laugh, because I've never been in an accident! When I pressed them for the name of their firm and where they’d got my details, they suddenly cut off the call and blocked my number. Typical scammers!

I like to mess with these callers by turning the tables. I just used a bit of the Fonejacker style gag, pretending to ask about internet services. They get so annoyed when you’re taking the mick and tying up their time. I reckon everyone should do it. Keep ’em hanging on the phone and waste their time - it costs them cash after all.

LVI rang me claiming there was some accident I was involved in and offered a big payout, but wanted loads of personal info, bank details and all. Definitely a scam. When I played along with fake info, he started threatening me and my family. I told him I’d figured out where he was calling from coz he stayed on the line too long by mistake. Got a call from a Liverpool number about an accident, knew straight away it was dodgy. Played along for a while, her voice got all sweet like she thought she had me convinced it was my fault. She even mentioned a personal payment to sort it out, but just when I was about to respond, she suddenly hung up. Classic scam.

I just ignored it and blocked the number, but they kept calling me for like 6 weeks straight. Each time I blocked one, they’d ring from a very similar number, just the last digit was different. They’ve used about 5 different versions of the same number to get through. Proper persistent. I don’t even pick up so I don’t get why they bother. It’s got a Liverpool area code as well.

Received a call regarding supposed damage to a vehicle, which I can assure you I’ve never reported. Strangely enough, they refused to disclose either their name or the name of their company. On top of that, there were kids screaming in the distance-it was all rather odd.
