I came across this number out of nowhere and had no clue who it belonged to. After looking it up here, I realised it’s actually linked to something dodgy and best avoided.

Got three missed calls from this number earlier, so I decided to pick up since my caller ID showed it was them. The bloke on the phone said he was from some preference service and promised I could stop all those annoying PPI and nuisance calls, only hearing from mates and family instead. I told the Indian guy he wasn’t one of the calls I’d want and he got all shouty and kept going on. After that, I just told him he was a cheeky little sod and ended the call.

He was telling me the usual spiel about TPS and blocking calls if I confirmed my info. I told him I ain't on their list, which totally threw him off his game. He got all flustered and just ended the call.

They called me a couple of times claiming to be from some TP Preference update thing. Oddly, they already knew my name and address without me giving it, which was a bit suspicious. Then they pushed for my credit card expiry date. When I said I didn’t have it handy, they got a bit pushy and told me to fetch it. That’s when I just said no thanks and ended the call.

Bloody annoying! I’ve had the same number ring me no less than 8 times today. Sometimes I picked up to tell them off, other times I just let it ring out. At one point I even said they should go forth and multiply, yet they keep on calling. Honestly, what do they want? It’s so pointless!

This 01503 560667 number has been ringing me quite a few times today. Usually, if I pick up and don’t hear anything within the first 10 seconds, I just hang up and let it go to voicemail. But today, I got curious and looked up the number after the calls. From what I’ve read, my tip to everyone is this: if you answer and there’s silence from the other end right away, just hang up straight away. A real person will usually say something as soon as you pick up. Never give them any info or respond to their number.

My mum, who’s quite old, has been getting calls from the same lot multiple times every single day over the past few weeks. It’s got her upset to the point of tears. She’s tried being nice, then switched to being a bit more stern, even asked why they keep wanting her card info, but nothing seems to help. Then, weirdly, he rang me again about two minutes later, and I just told him I wasn’t interested before putting the phone down.

Then they asked me for my credit card expiry date, which seemed odd. As far as I know, you don’t have to re-register with the TPS, and they’d never ask for card info. Pretty sure it was just a scam.
