So this annoying recorded message popped up, saying my internet would be disconnected in a day or two because of some “illegal stuff” on my account. They wanted me to press 1 to talk about it. Honestly, think they reckon we’re daft or what?!

This number along with 02052372583 has been ringing me nonstop the past few days, seriously quite a few calls. Other folks claim they're TPS but if that's true, you'd reckon my BT call guardian would block them by now since I clearly don’t want any of it!! Thankfully, with call guardian on, their calls never properly connect and I only find out they tried when I glance at my phone. So yeah, they don’t actually get through to me at all.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Sean, claiming he was with the Telephone Preference Service. I didn't trust it and told him I’d hang up and ring back. He told me to call 0203 630 0337 from my mobile while he stayed on the line. I said I’d just use my landline instead and hang up first, but he warned me that would cancel my TPS listing. After that, I was pretty sure it was a con and I quickly hung up.

I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers, but since I’ve got BTs 1572, I figured I’d try it out. When I get a call from a dodgy number, I answer it quickly and hang up straight away, then call 1572. That way, 1572 redirects those calls to my spam voicemail. If they try a different number next, I just do the same thing again. Honestly, 1572 is really handy for dealing with these annoying calls.

Like others here, someone rang me pretending to represent the Telephone Preference Service and actually knew my name and address. He then asked me to verify my bank details that I’d supposedly find on my card. We went back and forth for a bit because I told him TPS would never ask for that info, but he kept insisting they did. At least it kept him busy so he didn’t pester anyone else for a while. Eventually, I just ended the call. This number has called me about half a dozen times today already.

Got loads of missed calls from this number - 22 just today! And just yesterday, a different number called me 15 times. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don't know but this constant buzzing is getting really annoying. These aren’t calls from abroad either. Got a call earlier today from an Asian man who used my proper name and claimed to be calling from TPS. He asked if we were still getting annoying phone calls, which we are, and then said I was one of the offenders.
