Got a call from a woman with a strong Eastern European accent claiming her name was Jane. She mentioned some insurance firm, but I didn’t quite catch which one. I only picked up because I was just unlocking my front door, usually I just ignore unknown numbers. I told her, quite annoyed, that I hadn’t been in any car incidents and made it clear to never ring me again. Bet they’ll try again though, maybe from a different number. They’re just time-wasters, probably fishing for my bank details or something. Honestly, there should be stricter rules to stop this kind of pestering.

Today I got a call from 0141 769 0192. Normally, if I don’t know the number, I just let it ring and don’t pick up. If it’s important, they usually leave a voicemail these days. When I don’t get one, I tend to google the number to see if it’s linked to anything dodgy. After reading what others have said about this one, I’ve decided to block it. Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I just hit answer and left the phone down without saying anything. The person on the other end hung up pretty quick. Saw some reviews saying this is a scam number, so I’ve marked it as such and might play some games if they ring back.

I used to get calls from these morons on like five separate numbers, all beginning with 01417. I’d already blocked them on my last phone, but now they’re back at it again today. Had to block them once more. Got a new phone now, so looks like I’ll be doing the whole blocking thing all over again. They’re super persistent, honestly. Had no clue who was calling so I just cut the call off. Reading these replies now, I reckon that was a lucky call. If you accidentally pick up from those scammer types, do what my missus did once - told them 'yeah, I was in a crash and actually got my head chopped off'. They ended up dropping the call in a flash, so fast!
